Charlie Watts injects humour and sensitivity into his "swing" method of drumming and chooses not to overwhelm a performance with self indulgent solos. A gentleman through and through.
I had made that stupid comment 10 years ago…I removed it now…it was really a silly comment…Charlie actually was a great drummer and a very humble and gentle person
MAn its not hard to do a drum solo, it is much harder to play that soft, that quietly and at the same time so expressive... Stop the bullshit, enjoy this musical joy
I disagree that Charlie can't "play". He lays down a great back beat. He is certainly not Travis Barker or any speed freak modern drummer, but then again, those of us that enjoy old-school drumming and can appreciate the licks of a classic style, can see the the beauty of their craft.
Totally agree with you. This guy should thank god everyday for his luck. With no talent he managed to play in a band that achieved huge success. Charlie cant play drums and he is rich by playing it, but what makes me surprise is how many people are stupid enough to think he is good just cause he is a Stones. Like geod1234567890 for ex. who certainly doesnt know shit about drums but talks about it anyway (just to look like a fool).
