He was by far one of the best interviews of the Stones. This is because his honesty and modesty were so unassuming. He really was so incredibly smart, yet still egoless. He realized his career was about the fun of playing well and reduces it down to “juvenile” which is classic Charlie Watts.

It's great that as a lover of "black America" he recommended Darryl Jones and Steve Jordan to the Stones as successors to Bill Wyman and (unintentionally) himself, thus creating a kind of legacy. For the Stones lover, however, the original rhythm section will always remain the ultimate.

Charlie Watts is the most beautiful man and humble and intelligent man, and he's the heartbeat of the Stones ❤❤. He's the glue that has kept them together 🎉🎉

He mentioned Jimi and Clapton and not a word about the best guitarist he was playing with at that time: Mick Taylor.

I've always find Charlie nice but confused guy, somewhere never satisfied. As a drummer he perfectly fit with Stones music but.... A detail when you play with Mick Taylor since 4 years how could you say that lazzy Clapton is the best.
