How can you leave the 1st season incomplete without giving us a 2nd season? So many stones left unturned. From what I have read and heard there is tons of support for another season. This drama was so classy, well acted-a great ensemble cast- and beautifully filmed. We definitely need MORE!

There will be a season 2 but Theo James isn't coming back as Sidney! Such a shame as I really wanted to see these two have a happy ending! I'll probably watch new season but I will really miss Theo James! 😥😥😥😥

She died before finishing the novel...unfortunately. Someone else wrote this particular ending for the first series. Many people feel that Austen would’ve written a different ending, so there is a petition for a second season.

@@amandapeluso4217 This is so disappointing. I wonder why they even renewed it for second and third season when the ratings of Season 1 was already dismal. Surely the only reason the audience wanted another season is to see Sidney and Charlotte get back together.
@@ro5marinu5 i feel the same way. I fought for the show 16 months and now the male lead (hero) isn't coming back. The ratings and viewership was great in the USA. The 2nd and 3rd season are new suitors for Charlotte while Sidney is stuck in a loveless marriage. We were promised that there would be a HEA for Sidney and Charlotte together. They should have been together, it was a Jane Austen novel. I wanted to watch it again, I mean all the full length episodes but I cannot find them. I was directed to something called PBS but I live in Cyprus and could not access them. If anyone knows how I can see it again, please let me know.
Seeing this scene of Sidney w/Charlotte on the balcony reminded me that was one of the times he was so rude. He ASKED for her opinion and , when she gave it, he chastised her for it. Then, later in the street he gave her another tongue lashing. I loved how she got him back at the luncheon by saying she did not want to endure another tongue lashing and then turned to her other lunch companion. The look on his face was priceless after she zinged him. However, I do love Sidlotte and want so BADLY to see a second season with the same two actors or it would NOT be the same story!
