@@deborahpmatthews4259 , lol. I see. I think she was in love but didn’t realize it, so much so, Lady Susan explained to her that she was in love 😄. When someone evokes such strong emotions from another and their opinions of you matter, (as Charlotte admitted) that means she in the least cared about him. Thanks for your perspective ! #sanditon ❤️
@@gettygets872 She doesn't love him shes been love bombed by Sidney the charmer who likes playing mind games and Charlotte's never experienced these emotions before so is confusing infatuation with love. I hope they find her a better suitor for season 2 as Sidney is a creep and plays games with peoples emotions
@@Bess21902 ,for a woman who is merely infatuated, she seems quite broken up about prospect of leaving Sanditon behind and losing Sidney to another woman. Her emotions smacks of someone who is deeply wounded because took a chance on love and it didn’t work out. As for Sidney playing mind games- it is clear he was once deeply wounded by Eliza, and therefore his soul was troubled and that comes across in the emotions he shows. With Tom’s help Charlotte realised that. That’s why she said “I got it all wrong”. With Charlotte’s help Sidney rediscovered who he really is. That’s why he said to Charlotte “I am my best self, my truest self when I’m with you”. The IRONY in the whole story is that Charlotte encouraged Sidney to be a better man and help Tom (and the family), but it end up costing her Sidney. I agree with Lady Susan that “when it comes to love there no foregone conclusions”. In other words, there is still hope. I strongly believe with Season 2 will sort things out.
This glorious and beautiful love story called Sanditon demands a Season2! It literally is a literary and cinematic crime that ITV UK cancelled their commitment to a second season even before it was shown in the USA to incredible acclaim. Production of a second season will finish Jane Austen’s last and unfinished novel and will prove to be a jewel in the crown of the company that produces it and a gift to the ages!🌹♥️🌹
Jane Austen never wrote tragedies! Those who finished her novel have made it a tragedy. If they wanted to do that, they should have chosen something else to finish not a novel of Jane Austen. The whole story has been ruined for so many people who love the writings of Jane Austen. They should be ashamed! They had the honour of finishing her novel and totally messed up with the ending. It was obvious how Austen would have ended it from the very beginning.
Annette Anastassi the screenwriter, Andrew Davies, took an educated gamble that there would be a 2nd season. He never planned for the story to end like this
