Charlton Heston seen here in Wisconsin telling a story from the time he was making the film BEN HUR, Chuck was a tail gunner on a B17 during WW2 he was born October 4th 1924 in Evanston Illinous, and sadly died April 5th 2008,
It is hard for me to understand how he was a tail gunner on the B17. I am over six feet tall and I've tried to move around in a B17. I'm too big, to say nothing of not even trying to get into the rear gunner's compartment.
