A man bought his mother a home as thanks for all her years of sacrifice for his family, but her charming 1920s property is in bad need of an update. After sorting through cabinets of knick-knacks, Nate and Jeremiah work to create a show-stopping kitchen.
Designing duo Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are helping moving families get a fresh start. They'll aid their clients in letting go of what they no longer need before renovating the property into the perfect dream home for the family's next stage of life.

Such an elegant home! The mother deserves nothing but the best.

I also would have never taken out the original flooring that quality was better than the engineered ones. It would have suited the style of the house better it only needed sanding and refinishing.

When Nate and Jeremiah plan the design and execution of a new project, they are so determined to do it thoughtfully and caring. All consideration goes into how the homeowner will live in their new and improved design. I love the channell and I am watching the full episodes.

Які чудові обличчя та очі у дизайнерів, і такий же живий та теплий інтер'єр вони створили(ukr). (What wonderful faces and eyes the designers have, and they created the same lively and warm interior

Jeremiah, I do the same thing - when I can't sleep, I redesign my apartment, and I imagine my dream home from top to bottom, inside and out.

No matter where I am, if I have a minute to myself, I do this. I used to be an artist's model. That's how I passed the time... Still do. I'm a jewelry designer now, but I still redesign every place in my head.

What is the American dream today? Mass shootings, bigoted politicians, segregated communities? And the "let's give a Thai retired postal worker a pseudo Parisian decor" is quite a head-scratching concept.

I love that they are happy with it, most important. As a viewer and outsider, a beautiful home with amazing floors that was turned into what every remodeled house looks like today. It feels that the home was stripped of personality for once again white cream everything.

I'm at the point where mention that the house is 100 years old and may have had renovations not in keeping with the architecture of the home. Thing is, what you are doing is very much not in keeping with the architecture of the home. After all, the original kitchen served families for a century, having been redone several times. Seeing the end result I am wondering why that round table in the living room. It makes no sense as it appears to be a dining table, but is within sight of two other dining areas.

that original floor just needed an excellent re-polish, instead of those cheap floorboards, if you really about to keep the house's original character

most often those parquet floors cannot be saved/cost more to rehab. why shame someone in any case?
@janwoodward7360

Oh I agree. One of the benefits of hardwoods is their ability to be sanded down and re finished. Why tear out perfectly good floors unless they were so thin they could no longer be sanded. Doesn’t look as if that was the case here. Wasteful and not thoughtful at all.

Not everybody would want to live or retain an old architecture house. They’d like changes as per functionality. No shame in that.
@M-M-EXTRA

look at the architecture in here 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 what architecture? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 parisian….. in order to create ‘parisian chique’ one would have to travel to paris and see it first hand. this is some mock tudor style ‘parisian chique’ that leaves a lot to be desired. there’s not an inch of french flair in those rooms. not a single one!
