I really like the curtain rod coffee cup holder it is the perfect size for a coffee cup and does not hold a bunch of clutter stuff that normally builds up on a table. Bravo for your idea. The solution of diverting the urine to the gray water just eliminated my biggest objection to installing a composting toilet. I've heard enough to know people generally don't find the solid part a problem. But many of the commercial ones use bottles to collect urine, and having to stand around and pour out a bottle of stale pee was anything but appealing.
I have seen this done in a couple of other tiny homes as well. Something I am going to seriously think about. Especially as one of the tiny home owners doing this uses the grey water to water fruit trees. Not in the USA but possibly in Australia from memory. Given this is what I intend to use my grey water for, filtered through a mini reed bed, I was very impressed with his method.

I only heard things from other people many were negative and some silent . however I don't want to judge anyone for their beliefs (aside from muslims ) which I will Never adhere to. I live by a simple rule , Live and let Live. as long as I can live in peace I don't have a problem with any religion ( aside from Islam )

I love the concept of " Tiny Houses " but it would only be worth it for me if I could park it on a piece of land with an absolute killer view. Not a big fan of the common commercial rustic looking exteriors .. They remind me of outhouses. Hopefully that will improve . Renting one for a couple of weeks would be a good way to see if you can really live in a tiny house .
ThE DuCk Most people build their own tiny house to fit what they want. So you wouldn't have to go with the rustic look. I've seen plenty of modern styled exteriors. I think the reason you see a lot of rustic exterior is because people want something unique and environmentally friendly. Every traditional home I see has a modern design or plastic siding. Rustic is homey and far from common in the grand world of housing. But that really is the great thing about tiny houses-- yours can be whatever you want it to be. It's entirely you :)

Brittany's house is amazing... so darned charming. Stayed here in the dead of winter... 16 degrees. The house was just fine, though I would disagree about the IR heater. The Envi was just fabulous... while the IR just couldn't handle the low temps as well. The Dickenson, while pretty, is also rather expensive, and doesn't heat especially well. The fan in the Dickenson is also rather noticeable, but ever since Jay Shafer popularized them they are quite common in the tiny house scene.
awesome house and a very informative video. I have seen a community of about 20 houses or more, "just like yours", on someones land in the woods, around this small lake and it had a road that ran in a circle with a bridge and biking/walkin paths. A great little place to go fishin/swimming. It was some sort of retreat/campground kind of thing.

i love the kitchen sink, i first saw those in Sausilito many years ago, there was a showroom there amongst the shops. i fell in love and have since seen them other places, in the south west, in mexican restaurants etc. 🧡

I love the closet. The ladder should be an attic style ladder. Makes it convenient to tuck under the loft, in between the slats And folds out when needed. Its a cute layout. Toilet should have been placed along the back side of the wall.
I've been inspired with tiny houses and been dreaming of having one. But I think having an electric outlet near the stove is not advisable, don't you think? :) But over all, I find this house so nice and cool.❤️❤️❤️
the more I see some of these fabulous tiny homes the more I like it. even though I live in 3200 SQ feet home which is very costly to run and so much waste in the house . this could actually be a great solution to the homeless in all states .(not as fancy as this one) but just imagine we could save huge amounts of money and put an end to homelessness .
Oh wow! I also love the Arty sink! Gee I wish I had a shower and compost toilet inside my cabin! Unfortunately I have to go to another building to use shower and toilet.
great idea it would help alot of people who need a roof over them. I like the idea that there is no interest paying a mortgage. there be more available in Australia. it would work well with the high rentals. I like to live in a tiny home it would teach me how to make do with less and be happy for what I have. make more so people are not loaded with money would have there own haven.
I was thinking that I needed a tiny house to be at least 20 feet to be happy but this looked perfect great simple design will be looking at this for future reference

I see that the most embarrassing problem is the toilets ....Where to put them and the rest.... on many videos showing tiny houses. In spite of this , they are all nice and comfortable like this one. The lack of space under the roof .... well , not for me but the nature all around is magnificent. First thing to do when you want to live in a tiny house. You need to find and buy a beautiful land .... This one is very beautiful.
