That 32 is gorgeous. I'd almost hate to put rounds through it. I will say, 32 is an underappreciated revolver cartridge for pocket carry. Thanks for the video! Charter Arms content is my favorite! 😂
That 32 and that 38 made in 83 are very nice looking and the stainless are cool . My uncle had a stainless 38 that belonged to my great uncle who was a state trooper back in the day.
Yeah, the vintage, stainless ones, and the 32 are definitely my favorite too. I would definitely buy a police undercover if I could find one, that was a six shot 38 special.
I did not know that the first two digits of modern manufactured CA indicated the year. Mine reads "22". It is a bit of trivia, but any other tidbits that you know of when discussing a given brand is like super helpful
@@crankygunreviews I liked the Charter Arms revolvers I have owned. While they do not have the reputation of Colt, Smith & Wesson, or Ruger the Buffalo Bore ammo folks tell me that with the exception of the 2 “stay away from” ones you mentioned these revolvers can digest their most powerful ammo. Plus, mind always went BANG when you pulled the trigger. The 2 that I owned were both Bulldogs in .44 Special.
@@crankygunreviews The Buffalo Bore comment was an answer to my question about using their .44Special ammo in a Bulldog. Not sure if it was meant to apply to all calibers.
I am envious. You have a bobbed hammer Bulldog. I have one of those factory 'law enforcement hammers on my early Stratford Undercover pistol I have been trying to find one of that ;law enforcement' configuration for my Bridgeport made Bulldog (a great pistol to wear when cutting wood in the forest, much lighter than my Ruger GP100 .44). All I am finding at CA is their double action only hammer version.
@@kenibnanak5554 if you look back in my videos, I added that hammer. Mine was originally a DAO hammer, someone swapped it to a regular hammer, and I put this one on. The hammers pop up from time to time on eBay, or you may try calling or emailing Charter Arms and see if they have any. I found one of those hammers for the 38 as well, and swapped that one too
Oh me too! Have a S&W 30-1 in 32 S&W long as well, and man do those shoot nice, and you get an extra shot over 38 special. Some say that 32 S&W is better or equal to 38 special because they’re smaller rounds, can be a similar velocity but because they’re a less recoil, it give the shoot better chance of good shot placement and follow up shots
Great collection! Many types represented in caliber, barrel length & finish. What kind of accuracy is possible with the 22 cal models with adjustable sites? 3'' vs 4''?
I’m not a precision shooter, so I can’t say that well, but they’re accurate enough for me. I recently did a video with both of them at the range, but I was shooting off-hand unsupported so it trying to get real accurate groups
