There was a gap. Just enough to put a truck in obviously. He went for it. Ty decided, "this is a good idea." And came down on him giving him no room.
@michaelbigwood631

+Major Payne8779 He didn't put his truck in a gap. He aimed for the back corner of Ty's truck and didn't lift. There's a difference.

no. He was on the bottom and the Ty came down. Chase didn't wreck him, he held his line and Ty came down. Re-watch the video

I don't need to re watch it. I'm not a fan of either driver. You're simply twisting what really happened to suit your fantasy. Chase even admitted that he did it. Ty was simply following the racing line for that turn. Watch other trucks take that corner. They take it the same way Ty did. Now come back and discuss it when you've gotten your head out of Chase Elliotts ass.

Yeah, but Jeff doesn't want the number to be retired, cause that is what Hendricks wanted, but Jeff said when he is retired he wants to see the number 24 on the track every weekend, and he chose chase Elliot to drive it, which I think is a great call, cause chase looks like he has the potential to be as good as his father

What exactly did he do wrong? He already had his nose in the gap and ty STILL shut the door on him. He was hoping chase would let him have it and they could drag race down the final stretch. Which I think says a LOT about him as a manchild considering Chase (while on a winless streak) has way more job security and top finishes in the best equipment while Ty Dillon is the bottom feeder of NASCAR. He wants things handed to him. And this wreck and his post interview is indicative of it 😂

If anyone wants to be mad at Chase for spinning out Ty, whether you like him or not, Chase had no other option on the last turn. He had a run on the inside of the 3, but Ty just ran him out of room by turning straight down into him. Chase isn't the kind of guy that would wreck someone on purpose.

NASCAR waits until Tuesday to dish out penalties. The only thing I saw today that warrants a looking at is the chick slapping Papis. As far as the last corner goes, you are right. Chase had no intention of letting Ty finish the race.

I'm a fan of both drivers, and I see Elliott took a chance in the last corner for the win, like any racer would. You should expect to see stuff like that happen. Sucks Ty couldn't make it to the line, but he could've held his low line a little better.

looked to me like the 3 made his normal arch into the corner and the 94 divebombed it down in there and things narrowed up, just hard racing in my opinion, dont think the 94 tried to take him out but when he got in there hot, you just cant stop them things that fast
@1GuyGaming
@1GuyGaming 2 года назад
Think back to Ambrose and Keselowski at Watkins Glen. They were running into the back and side of each other almost every corner of the last lap. The difference is the leader was giving enough room when they were getting dive bombed, to not spin themselves out. That's what Kyle Busch did that race, spun himself similarly. If you see someone on the inside trying to pass, you either give them room or risk getting spun. If Ty saw the dive bomb coming he could have backed off more, letting Chase miss the corner and pass him back. Or he could have out-braked Elliott into the corner to avoid contact. Watkins Glen 2012 is proof that you can dive bomb on the last lap over and over, yet still have an awesome hard race to the finish if the driver has awareness.

That wasn't a block. Chase was not in position as Ty started his turn into the apex. If Chase was up beside him and Ty done that then that is a block/chop. I'm not a fan of either of the Dillon's..not even close but that was all on Chase. I am fine with bumping and rubbing but straight up dumping a driver is as shitty as it gets, I don't care who it is that does it.

I have to disagree. The way Chase entered the corner, he had no intention of letting Ty finish the race. Ty used the racing line through 10 and Chase dive-bombed, plain and simple. If you look closely, you'll see that Ty actually gave Chase a little room and Chase still drove right through Ty. I know the kid was going for his first win, but that was flat out dirty. You don't drive through somebody, especially if they're in the thick of a championship fight and you're driving in a one-off race.

People who are defending Chase are ridiculous. He made a divebomb move and would have had not way to make it through the corner without punting Ty into the wall. It doesn't matter whether Ty came down because Chase drove in there with intent to kill. Not saying either driver was right or wrong, but if you're all trying to say Chase was just making the pass or had the position, you're just plain wrong. He had no way to even attempt that move without spinning Ty, not in that tight corner. Congrats to him on the first win, though! I know many more are coming! For me this move seemed a little bit desperate on Chase's part. Ty was on the proper racing line for 10, look at the rubber on the track, Ty follows the groove where Chase was just a bit too deep, If Ty hadn't of been there Chase probably would have ended up in the wall or at least off on the grass in 10. It surprises me a little that NASCAR didn't impose a penalty on a few drivers after the race, guess I'm to use to Sportscar and Club racing where ya don't see that really..
