When the store rejects your Amex card, pull out your CSR 😉. That’s the whole point of having a visa infinite card.

I got the CSP my last year of college, made the min spend (fronting club expenses / friend dinners and then getting reimbursed) and got that 60k bonus. I'm planning on upgrading to the CSR when I hit the 1 year mark because my PEV is higher for the CSR for year 2+. Thanks Sebby for your CSP vs CSR calculator, and for other insight videos like this! Just passed the one year mark on my CSP and upgraded to the CSR. Be aware when moving credit limits between cards, it can temporarily drop your credit score because it looks like the card issuer decreased your limit. Especially if the card with the new higher limit takes a while to register on your report.

say you downgrade a capital one card. You can get rewards every 6 months would you downgrade or cancel then 6 months later apply for the same card again? Or should you not do this?

I went from CSP no fee to CSP fee when the bonus was changed to 60k earlier this year with no issue. Shouldn't that have been impossible?

Im struggling to find my CSP usefully now that i have had the amex gold for about 9 months. I am only keeping the CSP for the UR points and booking my flights with my points that i have and getting the benefits on trip delay and what not.

Great, helpful info! I'll be starting out with the CSP that currently has the great SUB. I have a good foundation in the Amex ecosystem, but having a solid Visa card will cover places that do not accept Amex (e.g. Costco, some International vendors). This video lays out all the options if I decide to upgrade to CSR down the road or even downgrade. Thanks very much!

Keeping track of credit limits is crucial. I've put cards to sleep like the United to the no AF option. Upgraded Marriott to Ritz. Downgraded CSR to FU.

Nice video. Very informative. I just received my CFU earlier this month. So now I have to wait a yr to get the CSP? Bummer. I was thinking of applying after 3 months. Patience is a virtue.
