Chasing a Tornado Warned Supercell through Central Minnesota!

I tracked this incredible tornado warned supercell from beginning to end on June 12th 2024! This storm had incredible structure for much of it's lifetime. I followed it from near Alexandria right back to home in Champlin, MN. Then another incredible spinning supercell formed in Anoka, just North of my house. On this chase I focused more on still photography but managed to captured enough video to share some highlights. I even capture the tornado siren blasting as the storm was approaching the St. Cloud area. What a beast of a storm!

Amazing video!!! Hope you got some from tonight as well (Tuesday). Drove up to the cabin during the downpour. Hubby said I should have stayed home leaving so late. But what’s the fun in that? And besides, it cleared up once we got there. And also spotted a small fox and a few deer. Love a good storm, perfect time to look for worms after (for fishing). Teaching my 6 yr old the whole process, finding the worms, hooking them on, and all. She absolutely LOVED the light show from the beautiful storm. She completely zonked out. I’m so happy she feels that energy like I do when it storms!! 🥰 9:29

I was on that same storm between Avon and Albany. At 6:57 pm it was a Mothership Supercell!

Beautiful video of a giant super cell. Is that the same thing as a mother ship ? We very rarely get to see things like this in California. I bet the giant storm that has been raging in Jupiter for hundreds maybe even thousands of years started out something like this . The perfect storm that creates its own sustainable perpetual storm . The same kind of thing as a star but totally different . 😊
