On the last day of August, I ventured over to Elizabeth in an attempt to chase Conrail's BY-1 over to Staten Island, NY from Bayway. I'd had this chase on my list for at least a couple years, and with the 1700 in Bayway for the week I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I was only able to get one shot on the Island due to me severely underestimating the amount of traffic I'd run into crossing over from Jersey. However I was able to get a neat view of the train returning back over the Arthur Kill Lift Bridge from Staten Island from atop the Goethals Bridge in Elizabeth with the AK Bridge, Howland Hook, New York City, and Elizabeth in the background. I also got them pulling and spotting cars on the lead to Eport before heading over to Staten Island as an added bonus, which you'll see first in the video. Enjoy!
