Despite our best efforts, the class was forfeited, leading us to an impromptu kiting session filled with light wind rotation tricks, boogies, double backrolls, and exhilarating crashes.
The adventure doesn't stop there! Follow our epic upwinder kite trip from Macapa to Barra Grande, organized by the friendly folks at kite school @friendly.kite.brazil. Navigating a kilometer-long walk in low tide and enduring a lengthy upwind ride, we encountered a captivating sunken ship along the way.
Arriving in Barra Grande, the wind unleashed its power, reaching gusts of up to 47 knots. Witness the intensity of the competition as local talents and legends like Joao Filho from Macapa and Carlito Martinez from Dominican Republic dominate the scene with mind-blowing maneuvers - doobie loops, kiteloop boardoffs, late backrolls, boardoff rotation kiteloops, and contraloops.
