In October 1998, a friend of mine and I went chasing Pere Marquette #1225 north out of Owosso to Claire, MI. It was a cool and wet day, but that made the steam from the locomotive even more spectacular.
Today PM #1225 is up and running again after undergoing it's mandatory 15 year FRA re-build.
The rail line being used is part of the old Ann Arbor Railroad mainline. Today it is owned by Great Lakes Central.
