Hi. Thanks for the comment. I suppose my version might be a but more polite than some of the others. I do like creating something unique, which is what a lot of my organ arrangements are about. It's great fun to play this piece as a solo, which is where the pipe organ comes into its own.

I loved the piece right away, and I knew it would sit really nicely on the organ. I was completely obsessed until I was able to finish my arrangement. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the result! Hi Tom. Thanks for the comment - I'm very glad you enjoyed the video. The organ was built by "Father" Henry Willis in 1888 who was, in most people's view, the best organ builder in the UK at that time. It's very special because of the amazing range of beautiful sounds it can produce, particularly a lot of quiet sounds but also right up to its very grand Full Organ sound. It's also very special because it's never been altered in any significant way since 1888, so it's still got its beautiful Victorian playing console along with all its original internal mechanisms. It's listed Grade 1 in the UK's national rating system for organs because of all these very special qualities. You can hear a wide range of its sounds in my playlist called "Colours of the Organ" - do use headphones or good speakers to get the proper effect of all the different sounds, particularly the bass. Absolutely- I’ve listened to this piece more-or-less every week since about 1995… and I love the sound of the pipe organ. The combination of your orchestration, the bass, the histories embedded in Purcell and how much I enjoyed your film is truly extraordinary! Thanks for sharing- will you be recording and releasing?

Hi Steve. Many thanks for the message. Really glad you enjoyed the track. We did a CD of the organ a few years back but these days it's more productive to throw tracks up onto RU-vid where they get a much wider circulation. And it's great to receive all the feedback. So thanks again. I've got some exciting new recordings planned for later this year. But they'll need the warmer weather when the organ will be more in tune, and the old girl's joints are a bit more supple (also this old boy's joints!). Cheers, Paul.
