Hi Nick, great video. We have just returned to Germany after one week at the Quinta do Lago Country Club. Absolutely amazing development. So interesting that we are making enquiries of buying an apartment there. Love your style of reporting various areas, keep it up.
Hi Nick. Have been sort of binge watching your diverse videos and we do enjoy your and your partners' style. We are heading to the Algarve next Spring for a bit of R&R but more importantly to check it out for a relocation. Thanks for your realistic style.
Nice video of Quinta del Lago I've been a few times extremely amazing but it's not really Portugal add some Fairyland for fabulously wealthy people the Western Algarve is still authentic Portugal and the prices are more wallet friendly and the beaches in the cliffs are to die for
Another extremely interesting and engaging video, extremely informative Nick. You have a beautiful family mate and live in a beautiful area, good to see you enjoying the good life as it's an inspiration for us all, thanks.
Cheers Nick, really good vlog on an area I heard of but never had insights on until today. Found the conversation on real estate interesting and explained the high prices in Keenta de Lao! Yes, I made it to the end, thanks for that.
Nick a fantastic and down to earth top ambassador of Algarve even if posh quintahhhh :) Thank you so much for great videos! Our family loves to watch these !
Our goal is to eventually retire in the Algarve. Golf, restaurants good winter weather and a healthy expat community is what we are looking for. This seems like a perfect fit. It will all boil down to the cost of ownership.
We stayed at that Conrad the first time we visited Portugal and although the hotel was nice and all we couldn’t figure out why they claimed to be a six star hotel being so far away from the water (unless the swimming pool is considered water as in ocean). We didn’t know of Quinta but I guess mispronouncing it would have gone unnoticed….
Excellent video, I’m so in love with Portugal seriously thinking about retiring there. I really the Albufeira area but not to close to the beach!?……..🤗🇨🇦
When the average monthly income of most in Portugal is 750 USD, one wonders where the money to purchase these properties comes from. No doubt, most purchases are cash. This fact reinforces the supposition of another economy in Europe for those who have..RH/Florida
Hi Nick, another (fairly recent) fellow São Brasense here 😊 could you tell me where you parked your car at the beach please? Near to the boardwalks? Thanks!
Think of houses as big as a small hotel. £100 000 cars, multimillion pound property. CCTV everywhere, security patrols cruising around, high security fences and electric gates. Surrounding a rather spectacular lake. That's Quinta de Lago.
A friend thought my plans on Portugal have been bashed with the Golden Visa Program closing. Silly man lol. I'm not investing. I'm moving in and staying lol.
@@AlgarveAddicts yes that’s a good point ! What a heartbreaking mess. If you look at the work the properties need now … you can’t imagine anyone funding the project. It will (imho) never be completed or sell. Imagine listing them back in 2008.. You ask your client .. (i) would you like two pools ? One on the roof ? (ii) would you like underground parking ? (iii) would you like 500m2 of sheer luxury and golf course views? Then they screw up the deal with (iv) would you like your home to be just 1.5m from your two neighbours? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 Utter stupidity… Portuguese stupidity….
Are you talking about The Keys? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yswBwWcnX4k.html It's being worked on now, from what I can see... It was sold to an asset management company for €95m in 2020 from what I can tell. CGD lost €200m on it.
Anyway here to stay because we love it here. And the reason why we moved is greatly up to Nick’s video’s. Great content. See you next time at The Shack!
Found this funny how you described how to pronounce Quinta Do Lago to sound like a locale... because in my days NO ONE actually said Quinta do Lago ? Every locale would simply said Quinta as everybody know you refering to Quinta do Lago :-)
I detect some ambivalence in your discussion of Quinta. At the least, it doesn’t seem very authentically Portuguese. More like the Beverly Hills/Belair of Portugal. Best of the best and you’re going to pay for it. One can be both impressed and put off at the same time I guess.
Really like your work but its a shame that misprounouncing a single word makes you " just another foreigner" when in fact its a person who loves your country and and your scenery so much that that chose to go there over all other options in the world.
