Look, it's god damn kingdom, a long time ago you replied to a comment I made about how you eventually look back negatively on series beginnings and you replied saying I was wrong and that you loved Kingdoms beginning, THEN SAY YOU'RE 50 CHAPTERS IN, all you know is the beginning lmao GET BACK YO KINGDOM GOD DAMNIT.

Kingdom is the correct answer but the public isn’t based enough to know about that. Morj vids on kingdom would go crazy. It’s literally historical one piece Emphasis in politics, expansive characters and world building, arcs keep getting better(possibly more consistently then one piece), likable cast of characters comparable to one piece, each major arc holds on its own, etc.

Guess I'll re-read kingdom again lol Update: I just re-read Coalition Invasion Arc and its just reminded me of how laughable "tension" is in One Piece nowadays and how absurdly freakin bad the handling of Wano's resolution was.

I havent read/ watched much Xmen but from what I know, Some mutants can't hide the fact their mutants because their outside appearance literally reflects that. Like Nightcrawler or Mystique. However in Mystiques case, she can shapeshift into a normal person and thus appear non mutant, and this is the case for many mutants. I think the point is that while some can hide their powers and live on a relatively normal life, the fact that they have to hide a part of themselves that is literally core to their own character is what gives rise to conflict in the Xmen. Among that, the prejudice against mutants and what comes with that. Also, at some point technology becomes advanced enough that mutants can no longer hide because the government has robots that can read your genetic information. Its similar to Attack on Titan Morj, where Paradis is perceived to the world as devils, and no matter how hard they try to show the world their not, the world looks at Paradis history as absolute and iredeemable, thus they fear Paradis. In this case, the Xmen would be the devils of Paradis Island. In terms of history, I don't think mutants ever did anythings heinous hundreds of years ago, but the prejudice they face of course has caused some Mutants to stand up for what they believe in and cause terror in the Marvel Universe and thus this leads to further prejudice against Mutants.

The thing about mutants in the Marvel universe is that they are evolution's next step, so a lot of people fear that they will be replaced by them

I dropped kingdom after 20 ish chapters because the story doesnt establish anything at all in those chapters. Stuff just happens , and you kinda just follow along.

I've read plenty of marvel back in the day. I can't say there's an answer to your mutant question, but I believe your take is the point of the series. It was a series to shed light on prejudice and racism. The idea that people bring so much hate on the origin of one super power type and not the other is absurd. Don't be racist kids.

xmen as a concept is kinda silly in todays world but back in the day im sure stan lee had to be write racism and such concepts in a nuanced way and this was probably the best way to do it, x men has some of the coolest powers too

watch or read Desert Punk.. only 24eps or 130 chapters you're not going to miss out on much of you just watch the anime but the manga is worth reading just for the artwork. the manga almost turns into a different story after the anime ends. so it's interesting in terms of plot but the original story may as well have ended like the anime does.
