Chateauguay - Vermont's Best Class 4?

A solo run down what I consider to be the best Class 4 road in Vermont: Chateauguay. This beautiful and challenging trail dips into a rocky riverbed surrounded by lush forest. I was pleasantly surprised with how easily my truck ate up this terrain, though if I were running slightly smaller tires I think it may have been a different story. What a perfect day to be out in the woods!

Nice run. It's cool that VT leaves those open. Most everything in the NFs down here that offer challenges have been closed. On the other hand, many of the closures are due to litter or people playing monster truck on the trails and tearing everything up.

Plenty of trails get closed around here for similar reasons unfortunately. Chateauguay is pretty heavily trafficked and infamous, so we all hope it stays open!

You took the chicken tracks at the end, by passed a fun section. It’s much funner running up hill, and it’s definitely a good one.

LOL! I sure did chicken out...running it solo I figured I'd at least be halfway smart and bypass that gnarly end section. You coming back up here any time soon? Would be happy to run the whole track uphill with you!

@@S0nnenberg I also gotta figure out a clunky clicky type noise first. I don’t wanna find out if it’s something catastrophic when I get 5 plus hours away lol. Hopefully I can get up there before the fall, I’m doing a trip out to NH in October.
