Chat gpt will give you the starter code, but as the 20/80 rule dictates, they’re only doing the easy parts. One you get into maintenance, fixing bugs, coming up with new features that wont break it… those are the 20% real engineering level challenges. ChatGPT is basically a very fast entry level programmer.
People missing point, mostly. AI might not really replace web developers, but it will become as important as Git, CSS, etc. Those who'd know how to leverage it will win.
Discussions on chatgpt are extremely similar to those that took place when the internet was just born. Some said it didn't make sense; others said it was ridiculous; others that it was great. The truth, in my opinion, is that it is not easy to understand how the digital world will change with this innovation between now and the next two-three years

I used chatgpt to create a game program using function in c language. And it makes very simple guess the no. Program, which is very good. And explain it my every doubts in detail. That was awesome as it is in its starting phase.
@@johnfromireland7551 but he cant say data about non popular videos or RU-vidrs for example, is nothing good having it not connected all the time to the data of anything public like, all websites, RU-vid and all of internet. Obviously this make the internet evolve into another new thing, but is inevitable, AI is going to be semi inmortal from the days we are now living. Times are going to change in less we already think.
I ask it the most obscure questions that might take hours of research to find answer (maybe before I give up) but it comes up every time with good results.
Actually the guy in charge of developing the Chinese version who has also created 10 1 billion companies in China said AI will replace 40% of the world jobs. But he said people will start losing jobs to it in the next 15 to 25 years…so we probably be retiring by then 😅

@@Last_Survivor593 if it is a well-known website (meaning it was likely included in the training data), it will still know what that site is about and should be able to produce a reasonable output
@@smjonas8616 the training data is from 2021 so it'll be old. Also; it isn't trained with html and CSS but just pure text and resources and answers on stackoverflow and code from GitHub. Not websites.
@@v--9 haha what i meant was that it was incredibly basic You could actually give chatgpt specific and indepth tasks and gain astonishing results but i didn't find much use of it in designing
It can write the code but the design part isnt there yet. It's a good and bad thing for us developers. The average person doesn't know this info so we can actually use it to make our own jobs easier at least for the tedious stuff
Indeed. I've had it built a password manager web application and that's just the very start and I'm having it assist in expanding with a browser extension as well.

Skilled trades is the way to go. College is just a huge wine fest mad to enslave you to more debt. Would you rather learn on the job from real people doing it or and instructor teaching it his way out of book. College is good for networking that’s about it.
ChatGPT is awesome for tedious development tasks but its not going to be repllacing developers any time soon after ive been using it at work for a couple months now. It will give you most the time close enough code that may need some tweaking but for more complex situations it will most of the time give you code that either doesnt follow the logic or breaks somthing else that was working before. I heard it was a lot better before they started placing restrictions on the type of questions it can awner
No, you'd still have to know what to ask. You have to be very specific with your requests. It's much better if you ask as if you're pseudocoding a function than to just ask for a function
At this point, it is not, think of it like an Assistant or more like a multitool right now that you can ask questions, make it do 'repetitive' works and such. Especially because rn, you cannot connect it to a project itself, so you still need knowledge to incorporate the results into your needs. Kinda like Stackoverflow but much easier and faster to use.
Yeah, I am one of those people, but I say they future work will be to use one of this, to know how to properly tell them what to do and check that the output is correct
