i have the app but when you sign in, it tells you your account doesn't have access yet. So they're rolling it out not all at once I'm assuming. I got it from somewhere else first using a link the first time. The second time, chatgpt itself showed me that it was now available for mac and to try it with a pop up while using the chatgpt website. Downloaded it, installed it. Same error on signing in. I don't have access yet supposedly. I am a paid member for more info.

@@eagleed99 I have the same issue as him, the app appears and asks you to sign in, but after doing so, it says that you haven't been given access yet. But I didn't get a pop up rather I found a link that most people were using to download the dmg file.

GPT-4o is already available for everyone right now. The JARVIS voice will be out in the next few weeks, for ChatGPT Plus. Free users will get it a while after that. "GPT-4o’s text and image capabilities are starting to roll out today in ChatGPT. We are making GPT-4o available in the free tier, and to Plus users with up to 5x higher message limits. We'll roll out a new version of Voice Mode with GPT-4o in alpha within ChatGPT Plus in the coming weeks." - OpenAI (Apple's iOS and MacOS updates are coming out in a few weeks, and they're collaborating with OpenAI. You'll probably get Siri replaced with the JARVIS voice for free.)

Yes, that's a good use case too. One use case I would've used back when I was in college would be to screenshot some instructions to an assignment and have Chat simplify them, easier to understand. I know some foreign exchange students would do this when translating to their native language to best understand formal/proper English.

It just suddenly appears on ChatGPT while you're logged in. I downloaded it from there.

@@avishaimoscovich453 If you cant access it, it wont appear on your ChatGPT page. dont bother. i found a link and it just says i dont have access when i try to sign in. i made 3 more accounts with each service i have access to and none of them worked. youve just gotta wait.

I've been looking for the download link for a week. Not only can I not find it, ChatGPT won't even provide a direct download link when I ask it for one.

Not publicly accessible yet. Even with the app installer, when you run it right now, you will more than likely be told that you don't have access yet (I don't).

@@RACAPEIt works for my free plan. When I tried logging in with my Apple ID, it didn’t work. I had to create a new account, then login with email and password.

@@anilkumar1971You need a Plus account but you also need to get access to it. Installing it from another source without first getting the pop up is useless

I have the same problem. I've been a subscriber for almost 9 months and I still don't have access to the mac app, while new subscribers can. If this is how OpenAI respects its long-time subscribers, it's unacceptable. So today I cancelled my subscription.

They probably have an ai that decides that, welcome to the future!

It’s not going to be very good at detecting it. Much better to use more specialised softwares
