May bank holiday and with the weather looking glorious I made a bee line to the River Medway to see if third time was lucky to get the dockyard railway on film. The line within the historic dockyard runs over a small section of what used to be a vast internal railway system servicing all areas of the naval yard. The railway today only runs demonstration goods trains to show visitors what went on during the years when all goods where moved by rail.

Barclay 0.4.0 diesel shunter Overlord
Drury 0.4.0 diesel shunter Thalia (this looked as if it has just re-entered service)
