Hey sir, did you happen to see any military equipment being moved around or telecom/cable line work? thanks for the always insightful videos. really doing us a service and for what it's worth I thank you.
I’m def. gonna support once things gets rolling again. I love these videos. My husband and I record some to, we were traveling in an RV for two years. How do you get to travel? I was so curious as to why you were in all these places lol
Thanks for sharing some of our hoods even though we can see that people are still not following social distancing instructions after 4 people dying from the Rona. I'm going to check out your Dallas one as I plan to move there
Chattanooga is the gateway to Georgia & Florida for us in northern Illinois. It's beautiful scenery, but I'm tired of driving them damn hills & mountains....and then you run into Atlanta traffic. Gotta find another route, cuh. Nicest people in the U.S. live in Ten-a-key.
@@bigboineptune9567 *Hamilton County area has 361,613 as of 2017 im sure it went up some more with the influx of Mexicans and I'm sure the city of Chattanooga population grew as well*
It is. The Southside area of downtown, as well as St. Elmo, and Fort Wood have been nearly completely gentrified. Highland Park is rapidly heading in that direction. It makes the food/coffee scene better, but if it goes too far it will cause affordability issues and we're gonna end up being the next Seattle.
@@bigboineptune9567 Gentrification sux. It robs neighborhoods of their authenticity and forces out families who have made those neighborhoods their homes. Instead of working with communities to make whatever improvements are necessary, the neighborhoods are transformed into gentrified poopfests. 😠
@@PJBovio In some cases, like St. Elmo, gentrification is pretty much inevitable. But when the city is aggressively funnelling money into gentrifying areas like Brainerd, it goes to show that the only thing they care about is those fat stacks of tourism money.
Never roll up on cars bumper in Chatt....too easy to get hemmed up. And never stop on Rossville Boulevard or Dodds Avenue after dark.....for any reason.
That’s where I lived until about a year ago, east 23rd and rossville gets made out as worse than it really is I think - obviously, don’t let your guard down but that’s anywhere.
In the 70's it was a good neighborhood, but the 80's around the time i was born...thats another story. "Gangs" were never an issue until the late 90's early 2000's. Now lets talk about your neighborhood
In 15 years none of them areas he rode in will be the hood. It's so close to downtown they're buying up everything n remodeling or taring down n rebuilding. Condo's everywhere. Ppl see it n still sell the property or lose it
Home Sweet Home Chattanooga :) Shoulda stopped in for a big delicious dinner at Bea's Restaurant, you werent far from it. Well, except they arent doing dine in right now because of Corona. Thanx for the Chattanooga video, stay safe Charlie! :)
Thanks for watching, maybe I'll stop there next time I'll be back later this spring or summer. A lot of people now want me to do the other side of town.
@@CharlieBo313 Yay. Yeah you'll love Bea's :) My Mom & I frequently go there for dinner, its our all time favorite place to eat. Been going there since I was a little kid. Looking forward to your next Chattanooga video.
@mountaingal homemaker Im pretty sure theyre still "open", they've been posting on Facebook for carryout. Mom mentioned the same thing today; maybe we could get something to go, but how would we eat it in a cramped car, or where would be go to eat it?
Gots to do a part 2 of the rest of the East side ,downtown and the other areas you only did The Avandale N Woodies area appreciate the love tho✊💙 #423Life
12:16 is East lake a few blocks from where I live. About to buy my house but the hood keeps moving closer and the boom boom sh!t grades on my nerves can't relax in my own home very sad.
They really listened to the Quarantined order that's why Hamilton Co reported cases tripled in just a few days smh. Great video man welcome to Tennessee
The name “Chattanooga” comes from the Creek Indian word for “rock coming to a point.” This refers to Lookout Mountain which begins in Chattanooga and stretches 88 miles through Alabama and Georgia. The city itself started out with two different names: Ross's Landing and Lookout City.
When I think of Chattanooga, I alwayz think of Maci from "Teen Mom," - Hurd about Chattanooga becuz of her, kinda weird, lol. Life is funny. Hood luv alwayz, gud job charlie, LLB x🌸👍
Nice view of the city.. u should've road thru westside, Alton park, wheeler homes, north chatt, east chatt, Lincoln Park, crom well, battery heights, Dee drive, city view and east Dale.. much luv to all the hoods n chatt and around the world because we all on the same tip, tryna get to the money while tryna survive..
This is pretty much how it always is. Y'all stay safe. Don't gather in groups and just remember that the South Koreans are saying that singing, shouting and eating can aerosolize the virus and cause it to stay in the air for 4-6 hours.
@PlayStation Gaming no i never ever tried to be black ask the people that know me. I was just born and raised there. Knew alot of good people.. And why would you say i was trying to be black when you dont even know me
@@hokieproud341 right folk it's crazy we be right on the jet stream keeps the cold out pretty much...lol i hate to be real real i'm from Chicago & i rather live in Winter weather bro bro...
Some whack ass architect back in the 80s or 90s decided to replicate English suburban brick semi detached housing, in Chattanooga somehow.Didnt work there doesn’t work here.too bad
The last area is by the riverside drive if you kept going passed the aquarium coming from access road. It’s right on the brink of downtown. UTC is closer to northern chatt, this is more southern. East and southern chatt are rough places but north and western are rich areas.
Go to Chattanooga, they rest of the place is beautiful and we have a lot of tourist spots and attractions. Chattanooga Choo choo, Ruby Falls, Rock City, the Incline Railway, and the TN Aquarium to name a few.
Ahhh Avondale, Fortwood, East Lake...My humble beginnings...really took me down memory lane in Avondale tho...looks very different today than it did in the 70's...I love Chattanooga!!💙💙💙 #ChattanoogaBlue
Dedrick Davenport yeah. I have a friend who lives here and I came to visit. I had my RV with me and we had to do laundry and lorddddd. Yeah it was heartbreaking, I’m from the Bronx and I’ve seen some Shit lol
You are suppose to put reupload. My mother an I saw this last year this is not from the time when covid 19 was introduced to the world. Our city has been torn up from a devestating tornado so obviously this is an old video that was uploaded. This is not from this year guys other wise you would see alot of damage to all areas.
One thing about and two things fa sho, most "hoods" have hella similarities. Them projects remind me of Lemoyne Gardens, Dixie Homes, Foote Homes (honorable mentions; Walter Simmons, Cleaborn Homes, Hurt Village, Fowler Homes, PV, Clementine, Lamarteries, Scutterf) in my city. Too, in the hood, you'll see plenty movement when it's warm out, regardless. Nothing like riding listening to the street talk. Gentrification and "beautification" combined have stripped plenty of us from home. Salute to every neighbor"hood" across the country. Oh yeah, one last thing, imagine that same movement and everybody well off...I'll wait💯🙌🏾...I clare is possible family. #Memphis love
I have a legit question. Are all Hoods considered dangerous or is that more of a term for low income? I’ve heard some low income areas down south aren’t heavy with crime. I’ve also heard looks can be deceiving.
The city is kind of dense for a southern city, it’s downtown and topography reminds me of a small Seattle placed inside Tennessee, not the neighborhoods but they have a nice scenic down town area
I went to Chattanooga on my way to nashville and spent the night there. Pretty interesting places, especially down town (if that's even where I was exactly lol)
@@mynameismyname7469 I worked at the big gold Westin hotel that used to be BlueCross😂 I can’t tell you how often I got questions about downtown because the explorable and worthwhile areas are very limited 😂
@@FranticSloth22 i worked valet at the current westin for a bit during 3rd shift. my time in chatt is coming to an end although bittersweet I think it’s just time to move on. too much money for so little
@@mynameismyname7469 I served at Alimentari and Paloma up top. Idk if Jake is still there (front desk dude) but I quit not THAT long ago. Idk if you were around when new management came to the restaurants but they ruined the hotel completely lmao. Worked with ayden, Caleb, grant, Audrey, all those mf’s cause I knew them from high school.
