Good to see Chau Anh and her mother again, and I must say, the camera work was on point! Nice work Chau Anh.Hopefully in the future we can have mini series called "The adventures of Chau Anh - A new hope". Were she can film and narrate.But a big special thank you to: Sharkl11, Hung Nguyen, Bianca Kim, Sageknows, Entertainment Solutions, and of course Troy. Big respect to all of you. You guys are truly amazing human beings. Thank you for helping Chau Anh and her mother.

It's amazing how most people here have a master's degree in psychology give their opinions of their comfortable beds. living in first world countries with their beautiful structured families. they distill their poison but donate to help someone is often forgotten. my sincere respect for the true donors and the troy for the excellent work they do. You guys are awesome!

I want u guys to stop.. think abt this and let it soak in a bit. This is actually a huge deal regarding the chau anh situation. All the ppl donating to support chau anh. a youtuber and his supportive fans get together to support and nurture a little girls dream! Your positive Words of encouragement Your money no matter how big or how little is saving a little childs future.. because of u guys this girl now has a real shot at life and risk not end up being pimped out or she growing up in poverty then selling herself to get by. The shop lady shouldn't criticize little girl mother in front her, because the child gets brain washed by her comments, the shop lady should try to talk to little girl mother rather then distancing the child and her mother this is my observation of watching the video, i could be wrong.

I really enjoy seeing peoples living spaces. This one was cool because it had natural lighting unlike other homes you've visted. I can see how they stay fit climbing all of those stairs everyday.

Chu Anh needs to be told to mind her mother or people will not help them. No child should treat their parent the way she does. You heard her mother. You should have told CA that she needs to stay with her mother or no bookstore run. She needs discipline, and aren’t helping.

With the amount of assistance getting to Chau Anh and mom, perhaps convincing mom not to stay in that city and keep Chau Anh away from the shop would be a good idea.

Chau Ahn and her mother both need love and respect. But, that probably won't happen until they both get some help from someone who can act as a consistent foundation for them, like a caring teacher or a counselor. The shop keeper is NOT her mom, even if her intentions are good. Children who are taken away from their parents can have more problems as a result. If I was Chau Ahn's teacher, I talk to her mom about getting counseling services or going to a doctor to get evaluated for depression and anxiety. No shame in getting help if you need it.

Sorry Troy, you are trying to help out and run into issues. I know it's stressful, hang in there bro.

Man, what a predicament. With all the resources people on here are willing to help. Chau Anh mother seems like someone incapable of handling it. Does she not understand that there are people that are willing to help her and Chau Anh settle down even if its in a cheap part of the country? She got close to 1k which is enough to lived on for half to almost of year in a decent place away from the city and yet she choose to pawn the money for gold to keep.

i would also stop using the shop to meet up. Meet mom at a neutral place and talk with her rather than giving the shopkeeper the stage. I get frustrated every time you give the shopkeeper airtime, as she only uses it for bashing mom.

The young girl... gives as much love to others as she gets from mum. Which is not much. She needs a loving household. With kids to play with.

Chau Anh mother reminds me of my own mother where the older sister would say bad things behind her back and try to take advantage of her because she's, not 100% there.

Chau Ahn's attitude towards her mother seems to have got worse and the shopkeepers influence over Chau Ahn has increased. As i've said before if the shopkeeper REALLY wanted to help Chau Ahn then she should try harder to help the mother and not be doing all she can to drive a wedge between mother and daughter. My distrust of the shopkeeper grows and i suspect that she is on a "kickback" from anyone that she introduces to you. I feel for the mother.

Chan just need a big brother or a roll model to help her out on things or she will become a lost cause...as days go by it can be to late later in life.. U can keep helping her with money, but money cant buy discipline or a moral behavior

OK I will go out on a limb a bit, recognizing I'm not there, don't know these folks personally and I only know what I've seen from these videos. This woman IS lying. She lost any credibility when she said that the girl's mom "beats on her all day". Well no bruises and the fact we've never seen her mom even hardly raise her voice to her (well maybe sometimes LOL), says otherwise. The other thing, the shopkeeper keeps saying over & over "you don't trust me", "you don't believe me", well gee, can't imagine why that is after watching this video especially. Worse, you can see even more behavioral change in Chau Anh since last time and not for the better. Troy I know it's not your place, but somehow you need to do everything you can to get Chau Anh & her mother away from here before it's too late, if it isn't already. Otherwise the mother is going to get shoved out of the picture entirely very shortly. If not physically, mentally or both.

I don’t believe the shopkeeper’s story that her mon beats her daughter. All I see is love to Chau Anh from her mother, the way she held Chau Anh in her arms while she slept. Also, if the mother really did beat Chau Anh, wouldn’t she be afraid of her mother? I’m just wondering why the shopkeeper would make up a story like that? What’s her motive? Is she trying to make herself appear as the better provider to Chau Anh so that the donation would go to her instead? What’s the relationship between the shopkeeper and Chau Anh’s mother? This information is probably in one of Troy’s videos already, but I haven’t found it yet. I just started watching this series.

Troy, how about creating a foundation that focus strictly in macro level. For example, if u want kids to want/belong in school, the foundation can sponsor music teachers, magicians, sport coaches, or life coaches. There are many young people that want to make differences in this world; and with some financial support, they are more eager to join. If you can or think you can build a system like that in VN, I will try to provide u as much financial support as I can

The problem here is Chau Anh is the boss. And she knows it. Troy is giving her power but Troy needs to give all the power to her mother strictly. Chau Anh is disrespecting her mother now because the shop lady and Troy are accidently giving her the power. Clear case of saviour complex there, and saviour by proxy with the broken arm lady. She's never going to stop reminding her of that time she got you to drop her some cash. Good work on not being drawn into agreeing with her, that long talk was a blatant tactic to get you to start saying you agreed with her even out of politeness for the sake of conversation. The red flag is that if she hadn't been coaching her, she never would have said anything about it, why raise it? Unless it's true, or she has a habit of it. The shopkeeper is able to give CA some emotional support she needs though, which is why CA is drawn in, its not just about love/material needs, she may be giving it for the wrong reasons, but its there, like when she was helping mind the shop, that's a self esteem raising activity. The mother is simply not equipped or able to do that, so it's going to be quite hard to get her loyalty back to her mother. It's a real shame the shopkeeper can't do this stuff without an ulterior motive, all she has to do is provide that environment as a method of support, rather than trying to 'win' the best person contest.

Could someone fill me in what's going on between the auntie, mother and Chau Anh? This is what I understand so far: The auntie provides a place for the mother and daughter to stay, but their relationship is terrible. The daughter resent her mother and favor the auntie? Reading people's comments, it seems the auntie is trying create discomfort between the daughter and mother? Anyone know the history between the mother and the aunt?

Troy you should ask the shop owner why the mom hates her but not hate you then, cuz you also try to help them like her, if the mom is a violent person to her child and to others then why she treated you so friendly? Let's see how she can answer that, and if she admits she behaved st wrong to the mom. And tell her if she really want good for the child she should never act in a way like wanting to isolate the mother, or estranging her from the child or make Chau Anh hates and looks down on her mom! even if the mother is aggressive to her child sometimes, I dont think the mom has abused or tortured Chau Anh, maybe just some slapping and thats not enough reason to the point to try to separate them, cuz nothing in this world could replace a mother. So instead of estranging the mom and give her discriminating looks, the shop owner should be more gentle and understanding to the mom so she could soften the mom, in Vietnamese its "cảm hóa" her. Maybe the best thing to do would be to open a bank account for this child. Whenever you get a donation for her put it in the account. When she gets old enough to be on her own you can transfer the account in her name. Maybe enough for a small home. So she is no longer on the streets. I don't think she is benefiting from these donations. But I could be wrong.
