I love Chauncey Billups as a player, coach and gentleman 👑

I'm from Detroit and when we got Chauncey I celebrated and new were contenders and a piece or 2 away. Once we got Sheed I celebrated knew we already won the championship. Greatest Defensive team ever. Literally. Held the most teams under 70 ever and under 100 ever. They were so dominant defensively that teams celebrated when they scored 70 points even though they lost and got whooped. 😄 I'll never forget the Nets celebrating 70 points when they lost and they just played and lost in the NBA finals.

To me, he was one of the greatest leaders the game has ever seen. The way he talks and his presence, so calm, so methodical but yet so confident and powerful. Just like his game.

You nailed it. His leadership and mental game are unmatched. He really was the best leader and floor General of his generation. He played the game like chest and lead his teams better than every PG he played against and he played against all of them and his generation had alot of great PGs. Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Baron Davis, Allen Iverson, Chris Paul, Tony Parker and even Steph Curry when Chauncey was old and Steph just came into the league. There are a lot more guys to that I can't remember. I'm truly grateful and honored to be from Detroit and seeing live in person at the games lead Detroit to greatness.

So very good. Not surprised Chauncey is able to narrate his basketball life in such an interesting and heartfelt manner, as he appears this positive and sincere in every press conference. His dedication to his family, his team, and the players is evident in the way he speaks of them and his relationship to them. As he often says, "they play the game the right way" and Chauncey seems to be playing the "game of life" the right way. Thanks, Matisse for another engaging and well-done video.

I love the fact that Chauncey talk so much more about his family than his great achievements like Finals MVP, NBA Champion … His family was a pivotal factor in his career path. Pre, During and post playing and during coaching career. His family grounding keeps him guided. Wow would have been a great piece in any of my NY Knicks teams over the years but he did it and is doing it right. Always appreciate his game from afar but know have a greater respect 🫡 for CB.
