William Craig thats exactly the problem, the people in hollywood only care about this “woke” shit now, they are too worried about people getting offended
@@beastmomo7457 Hollywood producers don't necessarily care about being woke. They want to stay rich. Crappy regurgitated scripts with just small "diversity" changes to characters? Shitty movies but people watch them anyway. Is there another ROCKY like script on some producer's desk? Probably. Its in the stack of scripts labeled "things that people might like but aren't guaranteed to work. So no way"
Oh, but it used to be. You must not have watched ice skating in the late 90's/early 2000's. Here is what is arguably the best ever performance by a male figure skater. You're welcome! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ogpwrc6oCKM.html
You gotta admit, as uptight as you'd think superstars of skating-Fleming, Hamilton, Boitano, Hammill, Kerrigan might be, they were are pretty good sports to play a part in this movie.
MrTamendez Chazz: Mind-bottling, isn't it? Jimmy: Did you just say "mind-bottling"? Chazz: Yeah. You know when things are so crazy, you get your thoughts trapped, like in a bottle.
It's hilarious how he throws his jacket at the beginning, and how his face looks when he's doing the side to side dance, then hits the "suck it" sign. 😂🤣
Elvis Stojko was the inspiration for Chaz. He would skate in Jeans and T-shirt with a pack of cigarettes in the sleeve to Metallica. Women when crazy for him. When he lost a gold metal on Artistic Merit he said "I don't know how to skate like a girl"
@@johnharris6655 I'd say it's hybrid of both. That moment when Chaz licks a girl's cheeks in the crowd is definitely Candeloro in Nagano, but some Chaz moves are from Stojko
Loved that film, one of my fav comedy. Watched it for years and only realized now that Chaz's character is based on two French skaters of the 90's, Candeloro and Surya Bonaly. Whilst of course the film is a parody of the Cutting Edge, another one of my fav money.
Based on the Controversial results of the 1998 Olympics were the aggressive skating of Elvis Stojko lost to the more artistic skating of Ilya Kulik on "Artistic Merit" To which Elvis Replied, " I don't know how to skate like a girl"
