Just received an order for 2 of them for $18.00 from Amazon, could not get them to connect to wifi nwtwork, only could connect to direct camera network. They came in a package that said returns Department, so someone else returned them before me. instructions are crap, no QR code to scan for connect. Processed return and don't have to send them back. Nothing but a high blood pressure experience.
I sincerely appreciate your sharing your experience. As many have stated, the instructions supplied with the camera are garbage. I have been looking for an A-Z instruction on RU-vid and can't find it. Nowhere can I find a step by step setup. I mean soup to nuts. For instance, the little stars app asks for the "ID" when adding the camera, what is that? Nowhere can I find the answer. Anyhow, I am 2 hours into this and got nowhere. and need to give up. Puzzling how anybody manufactures such an incomplete product these days?
Hi Marty thanks for watching, i appreciate it, as far as the ID just ignore it, there is no need to sign up or register for anything. All you have to do to connect the camera to the drone is go to your wifi settings in your phone, and wait for the cameras wifi to pop up on the list and click on that to connect, go back to the app and you should have a live feed from the camera to the phone as i shown in this video. hope that helps! Cheers mate
@NecroticNapkin is was ok. But only 720p (or less). I was disappointed that it claimed you could connect to it thru wifi, but that never worked. But for a couple bucks, I didn't expect much. The $50-$100 amcrest cameras I use work much better.
Hi I have one of these with a Telstra modem. I can not get the the camera to connect to the wifi. Any advice as to what might be happening? I have only the 2.4gHz wifi going, I'm close to the modem... .nothing will allow me to connect. Appreciate if anyone has a Telstra Smart modem and has solved this issue with getting these little cameras connected to wifi? The instructions tell me to connect my wifi to the camera's wifi... I then return to the app and the camera fails every time during the Network Configuration phase? PLEASE HELP
Hi there and thanks for watching, as you can see from this video i did not connect via a modem from the house to my phone app, you have to connect the phone to the wifi module from the camera itself and it should work no problem.
You sound lije PerthWest? P.S. I've played around with acoupke of these A9 cameras and they are a waste of money. I use them as dummy security cameras ....ie. stick on your front doir to deter thieves.
yeah so i got or bought 2 of these over a year ago an could never get it to even connect or pair to my iphone i was so pissed but o well deseptive people right i think i might start a class action law suit against these pos if i can im gonna i gotta look at how to start one so we can all get our money back from a crooked vender or i might just look an see if anyone else has started one yet so i can join i think if we get 100 people to sign up for one then it will go throught i hope someone else started one already i dont know how to do it lol but id be greatful to get my 15 bucks back as im sure all will i just through mine in the garbage but i pulled them back out an through them in the junk drawer
I guess for $7 it's decent but it's very misleading about its functions since it's falsely advertising to be the much better V380 . I reviewed a mini nightvision camera recently that worked really well and it's even smaller but it's also over twice as expensive at it's lowest price.
Yes for the price it is and what it does it does alright as a dirt cheap option for CCTV footage. Shame about the seller being dishonest though but these things happen now and then, at least it wasn't more expensive
Hi bro i think you have to be in range of the wifi only so at work if its miles away from your home, you won't be able to pick up the feed. I don't think you can hook this camera up to a network.
People be thinking that they are slick with their false advertising but they really selling a dream to their self and not slick with their code words and for you to be able to drive a car for a very long time it has to be a car that they want to take the scenic route in
No not really, but the whole point of this video is Buyer Beware as the vendor in my case falsely advertised the product as being a different model camera. That is the whole point of this video to highlight the true specs and lack of features of this camera compared to the one that was listed that i thought i was buying. Thanks for watching
HAHA Dave! Love the new channel name. I was like, why am I getting a notifications for this channel and then I realized it was you :) I'm watching the video now.
Thanks for putting this video up, I bought a couple expecting night vision and notification but I don't think or know if I have that. Mine came with unreadable instructions so everything is hit and miss. I can't get it to link up every time and the battery doesn't seem to last more than about 30mins. My first impression is avoid at any cost :( last attempt battery only managed 5-10mins max :(
@@ldman100 yeah well this one was falsely advertised and the box that it came in was for another better optioned camera as i found out while making this video, so it didn't have the night vision and other features as stated when i purchased it. Thanks for watching Ady.
i just got it and found out the power button doesnt work! not only that but i got a puffy battery that did not charge for a long time it is annoying well atleast it is only 3 dollars
It's a shame you got a dud, that would be annoying but as you said was only $3 bucks. Let the vendor know it was faulty and maybe they will send you a replacement! Thanks for watching Gabriel
@@stevec5000 Hi Steve that's odd that neither of them didn't work. maybe you can pause my video when i show the box or user manual and try scan the QR code from it
Geez £75 that seems a fair bit overpriced mate, glad to hear you got your money refunded, try online sites like aliexpress, or ebay for these cameras cuase they are very cheap and you shouldn't pay anymore than $10
