First of your videos I've watched. Great to have a bit of classical music lending itself well to the Star Wars action. I enjoyed your slower pace explanation of what you're doing, compared to the more frantic content creators.
After testing this deck a lot I have come to the conclusion that you absolutely run ramp. Slamming a rancor early and then playing Jabba to capture their best unit under the rancor is just a massive advantage swing. Also Palpatines return is crazy in this deck. It lets you cast Maul and Jabbas Rancor from grave for the same cost as from hand. Gives you more gas in the tank against control decks that like to pop your stuff.
For sure the ramp definitely does help although I have found running the super laser tech and resupply was bit much because of Jabba as a leader not being strong on his own unlike Palpatine. And your %100 right Palpatine's return is a great card!
Thanks for the deck. Blue/Green villain is my favorite so I will definitely be trying this out. Reputable Hunter and Starviper don't work with Vader since they aren't villainy so I think Maul is the way to go with this build.
Loved the deck! I also think switching to control would not be the best match for Jabba. If you were to keep the current midrange strategy and not worry about budget, how would you upgrade the deck?
Thanks! And yeah jabba's abilities work best with units so I would start there. Units I would remove are pyk sentinel, system patrol craft for sure. Then I would go up a full play set of maul, and add Gideon hask, and add a more aggressive 2 drop like viper prob droid.
His ability already allows you to ramp into your units and while ramp is strong in the early game it's a terrible draw late game. since this is a budget deck we don't have cards avengers to make up for that. If you build this non budget it would be a different deck.
