Just fired mine for first time in over a year. Started up soon as I put the choke on. Everything is working. Didn’t even need a battery recharge.

You don't have to take the headlight off to remove the gauges. Look up online the OEM service manual. Two 10mm nuts hold it down.

Cool! I had a GPZ 500 as a daily from 2005-2010 (same engine) Great bike to learn all about big bikes on.. If you planning on changing the exhaust don’t put a Motad on it...puts a massive great hole in the midrange!

Excellent taste, sir! A colleague has the bigger GPZ900, quite the weapon! My bike already has a tasty Art Race exhaust, so no worries there 😎

Those black mirrors look so much batter than the chrome ones....SO much better. I'm like you, I'm OK with chrome, but I just find it looks a bit garish in a lot of applications. Probably part of the reason that I like the facelifted black plastic version of a lot of car's grills in the '70s more than the original chrome ones...the Peugeot 204/304/504 come to mind, for example, or the FIAT 125p. Also....I demand an extended, full version of the Joe Paints Random stuff theme.

I'm getting on with my project this year, recently put the wheels back on the ZZR and I can't wait to get the engine sorted and back in. Even though the jobs are small Miller they are satisfying well done 👍. Are you going to blacken the headlghts ring?

I reviewed a Saxo on my channel last year as I passed my test in one. It was the 1.1 and I had forgotten how slow they are, but it was still a lot of fun!

I have a 2005 ER5 which is a non runner atm - Question does the headlight come on with the ignition or only when the engine is running?

With mine, the light comes on when you flick the switch with the ignition on, it doesn't have to be running

@@MillerCorner My Dash lights up the indicators work and the park light comes on but no High / low beam? bulb and fuses are fine? I have no switches for lights so assumed it might only work when it's running.....
