Nice to see the 743 coming back to life. I just bought a 743B here in Aus for about the equivalent price. Mine had a bad leak from the hydrostatic pump, easy fix though. Bucket repairs and home made pallet forks are next on the list. Short walk around video on my channel if you’re interested. Looking forward to following future videos of your 743. Cheers from Australia!
Great job and I must say it's refreshing to see your honesty I'm impressed. Love the farm it must be very old but I'm sure you will make it new again. Love the sheep.
Nice Bubcat. Im glad you started using that angle iron for a cutting guide instead of the levels. Also there should be another torch cap with feet on it for dragging the torch across the metal when you cut.
Ahah yes, i'm only starting to use this machine and learning a new thing each time ! You're right there's a little trolley with the torch. I've read somewhere that it's useless but it may be BS. I'll give it a shot next time ! Thanks.
Be careful, you amputated the bucket of its cutting edge, wich is abrasive resistant steel, way harder than the bucket itself. If you don't re use a hardened cutting edge it will wear out the bucket fast on the edge. It's generaly AR 500 steel or similar.
Yes I was aware of that and was tempted to buy hardened steel, but for now I just could not justify the extra cost. The blade I put is 10mm and will probably be sufficient for the next 5 years ;) Thanks for stopping by !
Nice work! Be careful pulling on that strap with the machine. If it broke it would have hit you in the face so maybe protect yourself with the bucket next time. Beautiful spot you hav there.
Lmao.. thanks for being honest about your mistakes.. we all do stupid shit like that.. glad you got the issue solved.. So is this your farm you are working on? Looks like a beautiful place there.. 3 things.. very good editing.. very good content so far... and you got my sub man.. 👍👍 Keep up the good work there.. looking forward to more of it in the future..🍺🍺
Wow Thanks a lot! Yes this a place we bought 2 years ago, it's nice but I have to redo all by myself ;) Last year I finished framing and roofing and now i'm replacing all the floors and beams inside. Still a lot to do, but I kinda like the process. Cheers.
Thanks ! Next is to adapt a palet fork and maybe fab the back cover. I also would like to sandblast, paint the machine and change the axle seals but I can't say when.
@@BaguetteWorkshop Great.! Are your plans with the machine goes having a good one for work only or you will check the possibility to sell it that and get a better one.
Thanks ! Ahah yes, I received the seals and still have to install it but it's kinda massive job so I postponed. For now there is still a bit at the bottom for lubrication, I think it 'll be fine for now.
Maybe you could have cut & fixed 3/4 metal strips to the bottom of the bucket extending forward, reinforcing the bucket first then put the long front plate on that would have given you more to weld to & a stiffer bucket for future use?? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
At 15:40 this was pretty dangerous, when you were pulling that metal plate, that strap could become a slingshot, if that metal hook broke free it would come shooting straight at you, even if the strap just broke, it could become a whip. I would hate to hear that you got hurt my friend.
Yes I know, but remember, the main project is my house and I needed the machine. The chain seems to be well lubricated even with the few oil remaining. If you want the info go check out the channel Steve's Beyond repair he did a great job and explains how to do it, cheers.
Your Bucket lock is NOT all the way done on the left side of the Bob Cat(as you sit) facing it from the front its the right) As for your English it's better then My French!
