I bought a similar one but with a paddle switch which is much better for switching on and off and I use it a few times a week for processing my scrap copper and brass and it's still working good after 6 months.......I paid £ 35 for it off e bay and it arrived in 6 days from China which was impressive , for the money it's a great machine and I would buy another one no problem....👍

They have changed the button on the latter model and it is a nice piece of kit and deserves a Standing Ovation for the price 10/10 Brian

I like how you tested the tool with a makita battery, and not the aftermarket battery.

He's testing the tool not the battery, so to compare to Makita tool only fair to use the proper battery.

Thanks for the vid. I ended up purchasing a similar grinder, but mine has a bottom switch and black gear housing. Mine does not make that gear noise when moving the disc by hand. For $47 USD I am more then happy with it.

Thanks for watching 😊 Someone said that it is the disc brake that makes the sound. I use mine every now and then and I am too very pleased with it. Let's hope it will last a long time too 😉

The clicking noise is normal for a brushless motor .

The sound is ok. The locking pin makes the ratling sound, but it is to make the disc stop quickly.

That clicking when you turn the blade is the auto brake. My Ryobi cordless saw does the same thing.

I doubt if a pro would buy a cheap grinder like this, but now that I am no longer a pro, and in my retirement, I am happy with my knock off Makita grinder that I use now and then.

I would suggest wearing raw leather apron. Extremely useful for welding and grinding. It protects leg hairs get burned and saves the balls be the target (!!)

I think when you're spinning the wheel and it sounds terrible, that seems like a brake for safety? Maybe? To me I looks like it bogs down easily. It will probably get the job done, but will it remain reliable? I wouldn't mind an update after some time.

I also own a Makita cordless grinder, an older brushed model, it's a great tool. I've been interested in these but am still unsure

I have used it for a few hours now and it seems to hold up well, you can't really compare it to a makita one when you look at the quality but, it is worth it to me as I only use it in my own garage now and then and not 8 hours a day at work. The plus-side to it is the price, makita battery compability and pretty good quality to price ratio. As for power it has it's limits to how hard you can press down on it but you learn pretty fast to give the right amount of pressure so it keeps the right speed. Thanks for leaving a comment and if you decide to buy one please come back and tell us how you liked it. TMV Garage

Sounds more like a elecronic problem, look at the circuitboard. Maybe a bad solder?

I think you have the grinding disc upside-down
@stestar09
@stestar09 3 года назад
Got the same 1 from ebay, cheap but not as much power as the genuine mak , it is brushless, thats whey the disc movement feels clunky , theres no brush drag . Mine developed drag as the plastic copper winding supports begun to melt & rub against the motor core causing it to smoke . Had to dremel away the plastic , like completely! Took 3 attempts to sort it . The switch wobbles like that because it's loose in the holder , mine came pre packed out with cardboard from the factory to fix that issue. Use more grease in the gearbox to quieten it down

I also added some more grease to it and it made a big difference, thanks for leaving a comment👍

I have an original Makita ,and also one of these knock off grinders.The original Makita makes this same noises but much quieter..These grinders have nowhere near the grunt of the true Makita,and always seem to cut out way before the battery is dead..I wasn't impressed - I took a gamble,the experiment didn't pay off for me.

Chinese tools ruin expensive makita batteries. spend the extra money and buy genuine that has a warrantee
@bldsprt518
@bldsprt518 2 года назад
Considering that everything makita makes now is of chinese origin you need some proof to back that up.
