I picked this up for work. My last one was smaller ru-vid.comUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj and cuter but the motor burned out within a few months. This one's footprint is a tad bigger but it still doesn't eat up a lot of desk space. Its size and shape blends into the background nicely. This has a good size water container so I don't need to refill more than once a week. I use filtered (not distilled) water because cleaning up after our hard water is tough at work. I like that this has several settings. It's also very quiet. (I have a silence naxi in the next cubicle.) It also hasn't left that terrible while powder, so far, that some humidifiers leave. Been using this for a month or so now and am very happy with my purchase.

looks like a very nice humidifier! ill check that one out. Ive bought a huge misting module with 12 heads, the amount of mist it kicks out is crazy, I haven't had time to work out how to wire it up yet since we moved house but will have to make some time soon. The small humidifier I made in the video is only really good for keeping a small space humid like a cubit square meter or less, otherwise its working too hard and burns out. The big 12 head I have can fog out a room in a matter of seconds, so its working time will be a lot less in-between humidy levels been activated.

@@GreenthumbsGarden Go for it yo, these things became dirtcheap and easy to get into. I bought it impulsively last year and it was the single best impulsebuy decision i ever made and i have used it for every single project since or was extremely handy when i needed a certain shape or bracket or whatever to repair something. I am telling you man, this is something for you guaranteed. Its like a real life cheatcode

@GreenthumbsGarden
@GreenthumbsGarden Год назад
a mushroom grow room sounds fantastic! if its going to be a big growing space, i would suggest more misting nodules or buy one that has 6 or more modules on it. this w one in the video would be ideal for a meter square volume growing box max.

@@valroniclehre193 thanks Vorstel 😀 just to note; this device works well but I think better for a smaller grow area, maybe 1-1.5m3 and depending on air flow. It was on alot! Just to try and maintain that level of humidity in my tent. I bought a bigger mister with 12 heads, but not got round to making a new version yet, it will be the same thing just more power. Something that can come on for a minute and boom the humidity right to 100%. Also, use distilled water, or reverse osmosis, as tap water you will get a residue build up, and it will shorten the life of the mister. Would love to see it when you've finished! Share it on our discord server! Oh you might find this useful also, so you can hook the device up to a humidity controller: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FTGa0CsjxX0.html

@@GreenthumbsGarden Oh I think there's a misunderstanding. I make board games. I'm going to use this design of yours to add atmosphere to my next presentation. The problems I was having are all solved by your innovative design. Specifically the need for frequent refills and the usage of only water.

When you drill out the large air holes, run your bit in reverse, and take your time with lite pressure. The hole will come out with a smooth, melted feel. A nice finish. I know we are just gonna cover it up but still you can never make something too nice now can ya.

what is that, like those smelly sicks you use in homes? im guessing that would add a very minimal amount of humidy to the air, it would add somthing, but very little.

how long does this tool last?
@GreenthumbsGarden
@GreenthumbsGarden Год назад
depends, mine did not last long, about a month as it burnt out :/ it was on 24/7 because it was too small a device for the amount of space it was trying to keep humid, so it was never reaching the desired level I set in the humidity switch. I'm sure it would have lasted a lot longer if it was keeping a smaller space humid, like a 200l aquarium for example. Since then i Bought a much larger mister with 12 heads, its a beast, but I haven't put it together yet since the move.

Can u tell me what kind of power supply is this ?
@GreenthumbsGarden
@GreenthumbsGarden 10 месяцев назад
it's a 230V AC to 24V DC LED Driver but you can use any power supply that is 230V AC (120V in America) to whatever the voltage is of his other bits like the fogger and fan.

Why do you think this stops running after a few seconds? At the end of the video it stops running. I mean the main ultrasonic humidifier itself. I tried it in different bowl in different water levels but it does the same thing before even starting this project. ru-vid.comQTjyeZ2T7wk?si=tniPSMeNrakg9NYh

you might have a point, it seems like the price of these "office humidifiers" have come down a lot and I see no reason why it couldn't be used in a small greenhouse set up. This one for instance looks very good, could be modified easily to have a auto fill up. amzn.to/3lYOsAL

So sick of these "DIY" mist maker where they use the exact parts, with a couple household items and make a normal mist maker just like you buy online, "DIY" means "at home items that everyone would have" not 2 everyday items and the rest are parts from an actual mist maker ...
