Cheap Eats and HUGE Plate Lunches in Honolulu Hawaii is music to my ears. As many of you know there really aren't that many Cheap Eats in Honolulu anymore and even less places gives HUGE portions. So if you are into local style plate lunches that still hold true to being Cheap and Huge portion sizes you have to check out Liliha Drive Inn. I got chicken katsu, garlic ahi and bbq chicken for you all to check out.

ohhhh yes. They have good chicken katsu. everytime I go there I always get the chicken katsu. My all time favorite is gochi grill but they took it off the menu since the pandemic started. Thanks for watching!

You need to try Ray’s Kiawe Broiled Chicken in Wahiawa. It’s across the Wahiawa District Park on California Avenue. They are there on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday until 4 pm. The chicken is the best I ever tasted also make sure you get the pineapple coleslaw yummy

@Authentically Charles Isn't L&L in Liliha further up the road, past the library? (Is this another branch of theirs in Liliha?) They have the best chicken katsu. Humongous portions, just the way I like it. Love the batter and quality of their chicken. Keep up the excellent work!

oh yup I think that L and L you talking about was the original l and l location. I used to go there all the time for the chicken katsu. I agree they gave a lot!

al minn fun camp early 80's teach kids to surf at canoe's then plate lunch at rainbow drive in - 2 summers only ever had chicken katsu for lunch every week (extra katsu sauce)

The BEST chicken katsu is the L&L Dillingham location. It's perfectly fried and it's not burned like Zippy's.

CHICKEN KATSU: L&L but the sauce is at Grace's. Overall if gotta choose 1, then Kalihi BBQ.

Tonkatsu Tamafuji has the best katsu on the island. It's mostly tonkatsu, but they have chicken, and shrimp katsu too! Comes with miso soup, AYCE tsukemono, cabbage salad, and rice. They have 3 kinds of rice. I just went there last night 🤤🤤🤤. Loved your video!

Charles, really good chicken katsu can be found at Kalihi Bar-B-Q Drive-Inn on N. School Street 2 blocks down from Kam Shopping Center Ewa bound. It's cheap & they give a lot.

We tried this place last week when we were in Oahu and it was delicious! I had the Hawaiian plate, mixed kalua cabbage and lau lau, yum! Thanks of much for the recommendation. Love your videos :)

Too bad. I don’t think you tried it but Meg’s Drive Inn in Kalihi is actually known for their Chicken Katsu, Beef and Curry Stews.

The best chicken Katsu was Diners Drive Inn but too bad they’re gone now. Don’t know anywhere else that come close.

ah Diners Drive Inn, I haven't been there in like over 10 years too bad they closed. Best chicken katsu I tried is Gochi Grill but cause of the pandemic they took it off the menu for whatever reason. thanks for watching.

Ginza Bairin has this kurobuta pork katsu that was delicious 😋 for chicken katsu I also like Tonkatsu Tamafuji in Kaimuki :) I enjoy all your videos and content. Stay safe 🤙🏽 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

The first time I had chicken katsu was from Waipahu Diners back in the 80's! I gotta go with zippys katsu over L and L.

I agree zippys katsu is better than L and L overall. But I have tried some L and L that had thicker cuts of chicken. But yeah zippys for sure. thanks for watching.

Liliha L n L is also good....they make a mountain of chicken katsu and you can FEEL the weight......also, they dont forget the katsu sauce.

Chicken katsu is definitely comfort food for me! It depends if I want a local or Japanese chicken katsu, Kokorotei makes a good Japanese version. Still trying to see my fave local version. Awesome video as always!

Dang humongous plates, we pass this drive in a lot always wondered how they were. That mini bbq chicken is huge.Garlic Ahi is my fave wow Ahi Belly dang!. My sister's fave is chicken katsu, we both would like the bbq chicken. Thanks for review.

The Bento is good. Better than Zippys zip pac and it's about $9.00! The turkey plate and garlic shrimp with steak plate is winna.

What I like about Zippy's is the katsu sauce. It comes in a packet like catsup but larger. The sauce is the best I ever tasted.

I ate there before they plenty food but the food is not very tasty probably would not eat there again 🙃 but if your really hungry the portions are large
