Mount the saddlebag brackets behind the quick release stubs for the sissy bar and do away with the spacer on the peg mount. It will bring the bags closer, Thank me later
My Buddy bought these bags and bracket kit he did like you said and cut the brackets down to get the bags tight up against the bike, he had them for a few years and no problems at all and he rides non stop all year around
I replaced my leather bags with hard bags - I also, put trailer LED lights vertically on the hard bags to brighten up my break lights and running lights. I also painted them to match the bike
Between hog tunes brackets and offer up. I’m at 200 for quality “American” brackets and oem bags stretched with lids. Still need hardware though. But I have no gap and it looks like it supposed to. But I almost went the eBay route too. My little bit of patience and scouring paid off.
@@pichan78orellana90 I wount up trading the bike in for a glide. But full transparency. It was my main transportation back a forth to work 45 miles round trip and the bracket on the left bag broke few hundred in. Hog tunes. Hard hat full rain suit and water bottles in the bag- not much weight.Never tried a return, so I don’t know if they would have honored it or not. I would like to say they would.
I bought stretched bags off amazon I bolted them right to the fender and put docking hardware on after so it pulled it right to the fender doesn’t leave a big gap and get rid of that spacer on the foot peg that will being you in more so u don’t have so much of a gap
