I loved seeing this kind of video from you guys, and would love to see more. I love knowing it's not always about honesty in relation to people trying to be dishonest, but honesty in the sense of "Here's, honestly, just a good place."
We were in Prague two weeks ago and had our lunch twice in the first restaurant you featured. It was awesome food and really strange to see it in a video.

also the innovation and political changes go from cities to villages and there are many good restaurants now even in villages but a lot of them still havent recovered from communism and serve very yak food so always check reviews etc... just do reasearch because my worst nightmare is someone coming to such restaurant for first czech meal in their life which ofc leaves very big percentage of overall impression always

Lost me at the vegan place... That plate just looked sad and in comparison seemed more expensive than the places which looks better. It might taste good but it just looked dry and uninviting tbh. And no not saying it because it is vegan - would have said the same if there had been a slice of ham on the side.

My parents were just recently in Prague, while still at home my mom had a look at very few videos, but found them helpful. One thing the were very happy about was that seniors get to use the tram for free 😁 Due to the videos on food they asked me to pass on a cafe they used to have breakfast and a few times cake and highly recomend: Šlágr in Francouzska 71
Nice video but disappointed that you didn't clearly mentioned the prices for the first and last meal, you only said it for the second one... That would have been very helpful to know, as a reference...
its usually 5 - 6 EUR single food in the first one and 4-5 EUR in the third one... 3,50 - 5 EUR is common price in places like that with czech food only. soup usually 2 - 2,50 EUR and extra small price for pastry or slice of bread Extra pay for drink, vegetable salad, etc.. There is a "rule" - the worst the place look- the better food they have... belive me... Not kidding!
There's a lunch room in the AUTO KELLY building near the Českomoravská Metro Station Prague 9 called Jídelna Ocelářská. I used to eat there when I taught English classes for ING BANK, EXCON ENGINEERING, AND AUTO KELLY. The food there was some of the cheapest and best I had in the whole city, and believe me when I say that ESL instructors in Prague need cheap places to eat! (I also got a haircut at the HARFA MALL nearby for the equivalent of $4 US.)
What about that place in the basement somewhere, near the center? I forgot name and actual location, but they had svickova as well :D I think a great video would be about where casual czechs eat, like places in the working/residential neighborhoods.
I was in Prague recently and went to the first place, it was great! I also tried to go to Apetit, but there wasn't even a rudimentary English translation anywhere, so we chickened out and went to Lokal. At least it was also great there!
Country Life was on my list of restaurants to try in Prague so thanks for making this video! As a vegan, it's not always easy to find a good vegan restaurant.
Just had a meal at Havelska Koruna. Went for the bread dumplings with dill sauce and it was so so good! Such a filling and yummy meal under 200kc/8 euros. Worth it!
You should be employed by Prague city as a tourist attracter. I mean I was in Prague once but now I think daily about going to Prague because of your entertaining and very interesting videos :D Sadly I dont have any direct flights but maybe ill go from Poland to Prague by bus :)
To be honest, I don't like your dumplings. They taste like soggy bread 🫤 I much more prefere german bread dumplings which are actually made of bread, glued together with eggs, herbs a.s.o.

I like breaded veal cutlet with dumplings and brown gravy and sweet cabbage. With kolochke and coffee it is about an 8 oz cup Cafe American. Not espresso.
HONEST GUIDE - You should do a video on the Jerusalem Rabbi bracelet scams. When I went there with my friend, I joked that the city had little Rabbi gangs going around trying to tie a bracelet on your wrist promising it would bring blessings. I didn't fall for it but it was pretty brazen!
I’ve had those bread-like dumplings in Prague once, tastes and looks like food I would imagine people ate in the 18th century or something 😊 such a strange dish. Have to give it a another try tho
Sigh... yet another fast food cheap eating. Where do you go when you take out your partner and/or family to celebrate a great achievement? I certainly do not choose a plastic plate cafeteria style McDonald's fast food style kitchen where I live. I haven't seen ANY recommendation from your channel for fine dining. Basic food shoveled down with beers can be great but not even ONE fine dining restaurant?
I have been to country life... It's very good .... Very cheap for what it is ....in saying that I found a lot of vegan/vegetarian places in Prague My favourite was" lehka hlava "(light head ) and it's sister restaurant "matrea"... More on the pricy side however the food is epic and it has a nice vibe and more classy restaurant feel .... It rates highly on my global vegan/veg places that I haven't forgotten to this day ... And I am a picky snob😉

Czech dumplings and bread are horrible and not nutritious. So very bland and dry. I would rather just any form of steamed veggies. Koleno and beer is always good though!!!
Im taking my first trip to Czechia in December so this will be very useful. To locals: do menus in regular places state which dishes are vegetarian/vegan?
