@@shaheenshad5012 Hiding your sexuality and gender identity, your “queerness” in general isn’t something the LGBTQIA+ community should have to ever do to go anywhere. The community already lacks basic representation in the media and education systems that barely anyone know what or who queer people are, this ends up with queer people being hated on due to lack of knowledge and misinformation in people, not only in Qatar but globally. Queer people should NOT have to hide who they are to go somewhere, just cause it is something people can’t see doesn’t mean we can just turn it off like a light switch. Try putting that logic onto any other community of discriminated minority, people with disabilities, people of color, etc, it doesn’t make sense and it can be offensive at times to bring up. Queer people don’t need to change, the world does.
