People crap on them all the time. I would rather have all law abiding people have a G2-3 variant. Then half the population have a Glock. It’s a great entry level option, and if you are in a budget of Taurus or nothing, it’s absolutely Taurus.
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate : Robot A.I. Lady woke up and choose savagery, 3 guns soon to be on Forgotten Weapons appear, and Jake is truly in hell, surrounded by cheap foreign guns, beer and being the shortest one.....again.
You can also get the new PSA Micro Dagger for about $320. It's basically a Glock 43x. Double stack 9mm in a compact lightweight package with 16 rounds.
@@fintherebel5000 Back in the day you could get a Russian AK for that. SKS were Hi Point money and Mosins were sub $100 all day long. Inflation has made this $300 more along the lines of $100 ten or so years ago.
You might be able to get a Rock Island 1911 for close to $300 as well. I've heard they are very reliable as of recent, lifetime warranty, and decent customer service.
@@Chrisblau hahahah 🤣🤣 lmfao dude I was dying. Hope you’re doing good man. Seen you on my buddies/ neighbors podcast the other day man. Love to see life come full circle.
Was laughing beginning to end. Love the constant bickering and ball busting among the three of you. Definitely one of the most entertaining gun videos I’ve ever seen! Someone should have brought a Taurus g2c! Would’ve smoked all 3 of them, except maybe the Walther!
@@jonathanvelez4385 I mean. That’s a good way to look at it 😂😂 Dude. Even though we shoot a ton of stuff i will always be a Glock fanboy. I started carrying one again lately and it just feels like home 😂 also my staccato P I ran on the channel for a good amount do time ran like a sewing machine. Gun shoots great never had a malfunction.
I still carry my PPS .40 . It is snappy, but it’s slimmer than almost anything on the market, accurate, and reliable. Honestly at $300, it’s probably one of the best cheap carry options if you can find a holster for it.
When I first got into guns I had 2 bersa pistols in 9mm and 380 and I never really had any issues with em. I had a Taurus and I loved it. Lifetime warranty! Now I carry a smith & Wesson shield and a canik as my couch gun. Still loved my Taurus and would totally get another one
thank yall for this. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. The eat and shoot competition was genuinely fucking hilarious. Every time the mag fell out of Bertha i cried laughing. And I'm not really exaggerating. Good shit fellas
The Taurus G3C ✅🙌🏼 people talk trash but don’t know nothing about guns . I’ve seen a Taurus shoot all ammo and a Glock jam next to it . And a lot of big RU-vidrs recommend it for the price . ✅
PPS is not a bad pistol. Sorry Chris, Kahr pistols have a mandatory cleaning and break-in procedure outlined in the manual. That Bersa was not a surprise.
People don't realize that really good companies have actual machines that dry fire and cycle their guns to break them in out of the box. But on the flipside...buying a gun that doesn't work correctly out of the box is beyond stupid.
That was a very entertaining 45 minutes and you guys have a nice chemistry working together. It kind of reminds me of the old UK Top Gear cheap car challenge episodes.
I truly almost passed out laughing at this especially how much they hate the .40 short and weak lol. I'm surprised that 1911 guys can't handle it since they shoot Gods cartridge the .45 ACP. Still a bunch of laughs and great video, glad you brought it back but maybe next time go tree fifty and get a Canik for goodness sakes. 😂
Got a PPS…went to the range. Shot 3 mags out of it. Nope…not for me. Got rid of it. Fast forward a few years. Got the PPS M2. Repeat same process. With the current rebate, Beretta APX is the best sub $300 pistol.
Yeah, if you think that CW40 kicks, I often tote the PM40 ... smaller, lighter, still in .40, and it'll make you add an extra "Please!" to "Please don't make me shoot you!" LOL!!! I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at such a cool gun video. Hilarious and fun! Great job guys! ... Now subscribed
@@sohum63 I try to steer people to the 9mms versions. I got the .40 as my old PD issued .40 ammo. I have 3 Kahr pistols: PM40, K40 Covert, and CW380. The only one I had trouble with was the K40 Covert (bought lightly used) as the factory mag release was weak. A call to Kahr and one in my mailbox with instructions and an offer for me to call and get talked through it. Has worked great since (mine is early first gen and they all come with the improved catch now). The PM has been utterly flawless from day one. The CW380 (brought brand new) needed some break-in but the real trick with all micro pistols is to shoot them one-handed. Doing that it digests what I feed it (except steel cases) and is ridiculously accurate. Clearly that CW40 he was using was a lemon or had been badly used. I bet if he called Kahr without even using his celebrity, they'd be happy to fix it. New ones are not at all what I"d call "Cheap."
Can confirm, it sucks shooting a small 40 caliber. Especially with a 1993 Kahr CW40 that seems to have been a returned gun. Older 40s were built around a 9mm gun though, so maybe it was just trash to start with. Can't say for certain.
I shoot my pps just great… I also shoot the shield .40 and .357 even better. Just gotta train with the smaller handguns if you are going to shoot them. Respect
Chris won, I say this before I even watched the whole video. Edit: Damnit Chris you were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy the Ginger, not join them! Bring honor to the Chris’s not leave them in failure.
Fried bought a CW40 as a first pistol. That was the most unconfortable pistol I've ever shot. So snappy, beat up web of hand and pinched my trigger finger. That thing sucks. It also jammed quite a bit.
What did I learn from this extensive well thought out expertly executed hand crafted in the Amish tradition treatise? Don’t buy any of those three if your ass is on the line. Don’t buy them even if it ain’t.
This made my morning. That said, it kinda sucks that the people who arguably need self defense the most, the poor, can’t get a reliable weapon. Great content tho, really enjoyed it!
@@pauvilreutov2975 where I live, a lot of ffl won’t accept shipments from online sales for you. If they do, it’s at least $50 minimum. I’ve seen as high as $75. If a person’s not savvy about buying ammo on the internet, you could easily pay as much as $.40/rd for 9mm. And this is Live Free or Die land. So, you’re stuck with whatever junk you can find if you’ve got a budget of less than $300.
Huh? The problem with the Kahr is it wasn’t broken in-the manufacturer says it needs a 200 round break in. The Walther was accurate and reliable. These guys are just kinda wimpy about recoil.
@@scootermcgee8064 yeah, I’m not really onboard with extended break-in periods. Case in point, my plinker/teaching pistol, Taurus TX22. I think I’ve got at least 2500 rounds through it, 2 failures to fire, and like 4 stove pipes which I chalk up to me torture testing it by not cleaning for 750rds of junk 22. And it’s a TAURUS. If it doesn’t run right after 150-200, it’s no good to me. Besides, my point is cost for something reliable is too high. If it costs $300, then you’ve got to run 500rds to get it reliable, you’re all in for $500.
@@boatbikemike8571, I have a Taurus GX2 that I paid $300 for and got a free Heritage .22 single action revolver on a Black Friday deal. I have had no malfunctions out of either. I have a Walther P22 I got used for $220, never a malfunction. A Bersa Thunder .380 for $320, never a malfunction. A Tisas 1911 for $320 that did malfunction a few times but then I cleaned and oiled it and haven’t had a problem since. I got a Taurus .357 Poly Protector for $390 that did end up with a problem with the cylinder being hard to open but it still fired fine (my guess was a ball bearing) so I sent it back and they fixed it for free. A Taurus .38 Defender for $460 that I’ve never had an issue with. A S&W 642 for $590 with no issues. None with break in periods either so yes, you can get a reliable weapon for $300 and a lot more options if you can swing your budget to $600 but you don’t have to. And these are just the ones I own, of the other options out there I’m sure some of them are reliable as well. If you’re unsure then the best bet is to go with Taurus and their warranty because if you take it home and text it and it’s not reliable you can send it back and get it fixed for free. And if you mean home defense then you don’t need a pistol, just get one of the many 12 gauge shotguns out there for $300 and less.
I have had 2 g3c and a g2c by Taurus. all ran flawless. Right now the smith n Wesson sd9 right now is a 299. Gun. So many better options then the kahr. The bersa i have had as well as the pps both are good guns
While I know prices are different across the country, I'm surprised none of you brought a S&W SD9/40 or a Ruger Security 9. At least around the part of Louisiana I live, either can be had for under $300, usually $260-299. Both are actually good firearms.
@@Chrisblau cool deal. I also understand, it would have been a bit less entertaining, to have guns that worked. Because this is after all, entertainment.
I bought a Hi Point as a joke one day because it was so cheap. It runs like an aboslute animal for some reason (it hangs next to my XC 🤣) I bet it would have out done every one of these cheap pistols. Ill never trust my life to it, but it bangs and it bangs straight as an arrow. Just in case of course. I also have yet to clean it, I have never even cared to get the tools out to break it down.
im just gonna say it. i have the same apple butter at home and thats my cheapest gun challenge right there, chuck a full jar of apple butter to the dome and you have a one shot, one kill. lmao
The S&W SD9 is a decent cheap gun that can be had for $299. A mediocre trigger and it only comes with one magazine, but it is accurate and reliable and feels decent in hand.
I have 4 videos in my RU-vid favorites I come back to ever so often. This one is number 5! This morning I was the weird guy laughing out loud in the gym to himself! You guys make some awesome vids and I’m so glad yall put these POS’s to the test and then added greasy grimy food on top! Thanks again for the well put together competition today. 🤘
I bought a ATI FXS-9 for $199. It’s reliable asf. Trigger is good out of the box comes with night sights and a 17 round mag. I bought several cheap shotgun around $199 like the JTS AR 12 which is reliable once the break in period is done. I bought an ATI ET omega 15 for $319 and gave me a few problems but nothing major now it runs smooth asf lol. Point of the saying is that if you give it time and work out the kinks it’ll be good to you
Best worst episode ever! 😂 This was fun to watch, bet it would’ve been much more fun to be there…maybe a cheap rifle challenge in the future? Keep up the good work guys! Jake way to step up and eat your food like a man! (Mostly😆)
I switched my tiny carry to a first gen Walther PPS after the striker backplate of my Sig 365 almost fell off into the grass when the slide locked back. Aside from it's capacity, it's still a solid carry gun even though I paid I think $300 for it. It helped that the ads I used to see for it 15 years ago made me think that it would be a solid modern James Bond gun and that I always wanted a first gen PPS. It being cheap on the used market was just a bonus.
I have a pps in 9 for light summer carry. It’s a good gun for what it is. I bought it 10+ years ago for 299$. Honestly like it more than the 43x I had.
