My dad has an 04 gli in grey with the 6 speed vr6. I liked it so much, I ended up getting a 04 GTI vr6 6speed. His is worse for wear now, we're planning to restore it in the next few years. Good luck with your gli brotha

Inspiring video!! When doing your fenders next time wash the metal down good, let it dry and spray some fluid film in rockers!! It will help prevent any rust. I do that with my vehicles and equipment every year.
Thats funny i said an air freshener on ur last post as a mod i like and u ended the video with an air freshener. My first choice was an engine swap and u also ended ur clip stating an engine swap woulda be great lol good stuff man. It was entertaining. That steering wheel definitely modernized the whip.
Even if you dont live where it snows, still clean the fender liners. I'm in cali where it never rains and found so many wet and decomposted leaves in my fender liner and unibody rails behind the fender lol

i had a 2002 jetta gls in silver. lost in a few months in due to poor weather conditions and me thinking i was in tokyo drift even though i was in a fwd car. anyways i went on to own an 04 golf 2 door also a 2.slow. the gli five spokes you have i had aquired to put on the original jetta i finally got tires on and slapped them on my golf. hit a pothole and cracked a wheel not even 3 days in on a rainy day. always nice to see someone running them it brings me back. I miss having a volkswagen
A good way to make sure that latent batteries and other circuits that store power on cars is to touch the positive and negative battery wires together. It’ll cause most things to use up their tiny remaining power to guarantee the airbag does not go off

Oh man. The hand break. I’m pretty sure yours used to be silver. My ‘03 gli was until the chrome started cracking. It was sharp and kept getting worse till I tore it the rest of the way off. Now mine looks exactly like yours.
I had an 04 24v gli in reflex silver that was my daily. Best and most fun car I have ever owned by far and I own a mk7 gli now. 24v is such a rewarding and fun motor even only with 200hp. Keep this absolute gem of a mk4 but you should definitely do the 04+ trim and cluster

on the topic of "Daily Mods". after having an aftermarket Turbo outlet pipe for over a year, think im taking it off for daily reason. just a bit too much turbo sound to CONSTANTLY hear. still keeping the APR CAI and throttle pipe to start out with. searching for the next car, but cant find a VR6 A3 near me

Im curious now if you kept the parts you took out, like i for some reason do a "i might need to put this back in" thing with mine. I replaced my automatic shit knob with a billetworkz one and the oem assembly is still hanging out in my tool box as well as the front license plate mount i deleted. I did throw out the chrome grille very quickly, hate chrome grilles.
