@@ahbeng888 It is a very good deal. I did some reading at the whirlpool forums, and apparently Buddy Telco does IPv6. So if you have IPv6 enabled on your router you shouldn't notice the CG-NAT. @TechManPat
@TechManPat Месяц назад
@GaelyneGasson Carrier-Grade NAT CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT) is a variant of NAT that is used by internet service providers (ISPs) to provide internet access to their customers. CGNAT works by allowing multiple customers to share a single, public IP address. Basically can’t run your own servers to the world and it can cause lots of other issues. It’s a cost saving exercise generally

I have mixed feelings. My current provider Mate offers all the plans (with the exception of the 1000/50) at the same full prices that BuddyTelco are offering, while still getting proper support that's "Australian" based. Furthermore, there Mate's new customer deals make the cost for the first 3/6 months significantly cheaper than Buddy's. Yes, Buddy's prices are cheaper than Aussie Broadbands, but this has just put them on the same range as other low cost providers, those of which offering proper customer support. I honestly don't see how they are going to be successful unless they cut there prices further.

Lots of waffle with no substance: Here are the hard facts: 1: Phil Britt has failed to buy Superloop. 2: He has now retreated to pull off a "Gerry" Hat trick, bring out a dog with a dog of a backup and see who is going to fall for. 3: Setting up a sub brand is going to cost money and customers. 4: One thing is going to be guaranteed: He will get more complaints from the TIO. His shareholders have reacted to his perceived professionalism: Share price of ABB has dropped 18% upon his presentation.

interesting... I have recently been speaking to the TIO and I am currently with ABB looking to jump ship after they said price rises were the same across the board as the rest of the competition, I looked at 13 competitors, and the only one more expensive was Telstra. Jam your lies up your hole ABB. I have more more spicy receipts I attached too. The TIO said they couldn't help. Now I'm contacted the Dept of Infrastructure who the NBNco has to answer to after much searching for some way to get through to them. Most Gov departments are accountable to another in one form or another. This is handy information, internal complaints departments are only a face saving exercise. Starts getting annoying and expensive when they hide a bunch of shit behind FOI requests. Even if none of this amounts to nothing more than screaming into a void I'm done with this crap and I gotta try something. ACMA might be next if the Dept of Infrastructure is similarly useless. All I want is some damned information.
