Yeah I forgot why I started to hate combustion engine RC vehicles. You spend 90% of the time mucking about with a little engine and very little actually running it.
@@kishascape If you tinker with the engine 90% of the time, you are either doing something wrong, or have a broken or crappy engine. Once properly adjusted, you only need to adjust the HSN by 1-2/16 turns and it will run the entire day.

I got a tip for u kev. With new nitro engines they don't need tuning before they start for the first time. They are on ideal settings out of the box. Only tune it when it's been run in a bit then start to lean it out. Other wise you mess up the engine and jts run a bit crap
It runs crap because they ran it in so professionally that the engine wouldn’t hold a tune. Also they did some professional engine tuning which made it even worse. All Kev and Stemp does is lean the cars out with the wrong needle which doesn’t make it run good

Wants to build a massive monster truck with a 1,000+hp blown engine but recommends others to buy electric lol.. Nitro is awsome and it's not hard to run a little patience in the beginning..
I’m surprised you would say this, as it appears you have an rc channel. In terms of someone that knows nothing and is just starting, electric is MUCH easier to sort out. If you refute that, you’re just being bias and you know it. Most nitro guys are for some reason. I love all rcs, but electric is exponentially easier to maintain to the average basher.

As for the electric/nitro everlasting argument, I have about 30 cars now, about 50/50. For me my heart will always be Nitro, but I do appreciate brushless/lipo. So for me, a hassle free bash with your mates, electric. But when you get a nitro on song, and it goes tank after tank hassle free it’s magical. Me and the boys bash extremely hard, and to be honest, when everything goes right, you get bored and go more extreme till something breaks! A little nitro hassle can slow that process down. The big advantage with Leccys for me is you can run in far more places without annoying people, a decent .21 with a good pipe can piss a lot of people off real quick! That’s just my 2p anyway! If you do want to go nitro, do some research and buy a decent one, it should be hassle free. In my opinion 2 of the easiest engines to tune were the old gs12 and gx15, then the hyper .21 I still run 3 hyper engines, last time out, a little tweak, then I burnt through a hole litre of fuel without any hassle at all, hardly stopped it, just topped up when you could see the tank going low, long live Nitro! Gotta Love Kev and Stemps demolition Derby’s!
Ok Kev, I've been grinding through your vids...awesome btw....but...WHY would you go Nitro over electric? It seems so much more hassle, they cut out, are not quite fast compared to an Xmax and soforth...so, what are the advantages of nitro? Complete noob here but loving your vids.
I'm glad you took some of our advice and put out another night through video you're pretty good about doing that I had said something about a month ago and was pleasantly surprised when I seen this video do all of us RC enthusiasm a favor and keep Nitro alive like you have been I just got a T-Maxx 3.3 and it literally reminds me of the little brother of an x-maxx
Kev!! Is this a good beginner nitro?? I've been wanting to get one for some time now; just don't know what would be a good starter. Don't wanna have to go through buying tons of extras at the beginning just to get a running kit. I have been wanting to grab one of those Baja big boys you reviewed some time ago - BUT this one is cheaper, much cheaper. And, I don't have any RC tracks period around my area - so mostly would be in a field somewhere, off-roading. That one looks pretty good though; I see petrol in the tank, I see a hand on a transmitter, I see the thing goin', and a smile - so I think this one should be a pretty quick setup out of the box, right? I've seen tons on your channel but, mostly grumbles before the action starts with setup lol.. Thanks man!
Kevin do you think this RC nitro is worth the money it’s ruffly 300CAD I have never had one but I love the sounds of 2 strokes engines. Zoom zoom I think it would be fun on occasions, thanks Kevin Cheers 🍻
Kev and Stemp…..growing up (about 33 years ago) my brother and I had a monster truck demolition toy, can’t quite remember if they were RC or wired. But basically they had panels, and under the panels were micro switches which made the car cut out when they all fell off. The object was to crash into each other, followed by last man standing!!!!! I would pay good money for a 10 min vid of Kev and Stemp with this toy!!!!! Link if I can find one!!!!!
thats it, i have to get into this hobby again .. got a 1:10 kyosho rally car from 20 years ago behind me, sadly with stuck engine (fuel gummed up the piston)

Nitro is where its at deffo more fun the sound and the smell can't beat it and guaranteed to draw a crowd when playing with them love my Hobao Hyper 7 (Nitro) & my Hobao Hyper TT (Nitro)

I do miss the sound and feel of nitro cars... but I also miss playing with them when I own them...because all the time you're either tuning them or waiting for them to get fixed!
If you block the exhaust with your finger and pull the pull cord it will prime it and help it run better but don't do it when it's hot as it burns your finger
I know you guys are bashers but why don't you upgrade more of your cars kev thanks for doing a review on that one looks alot quicker than the Nitro Hyperspeed I used to have.
ohhh i have a redcatraceing s30 1/10 nito i traded a drift car for it and its a 2 gear was missing parts but its up and running love them love your vides! glad to see a nitro on here more
Tip for Nitro Engine if its not starting: DON'T PLUG IN THE GLOW PLUG IN YET, Cover the exhaust with your finger, pull the string until you see fuel going into the carburetor. Then start the engine normally. It always works for MY Nitro RC Car!
Wow! All that difficulty getting it to even run and when it's all said and done you get to also have your actual car smell like gas all the way home...? Oooo, sign me up.....for electric! NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! 😁👍
hey idk if you will reply probably not and i also don’t know if you’ll be able to help but basically my dad bought a nitro like this a few months ago and we have t been able to play with it because what happens is it starts up perfectly fine at our house and anywhere else but at the one place we can play with it it doesn’t start up we have tried everything got a new glow plug new pull start (because it was broken) and we don’t know what else we can do. any tip?
No, they are actually very easy to get running. You have to know what you're doing however. First mistake? Trying to start an engine while preventing the engine from turning (by having the wheels on the ground). Nitro cars MUST be started with the drive wheels able to freely move. Do you complain about not being able to walk when you tie your shoes together? That's what they were doing....
It's not if you know what you are doing! There's alot to learn tbh but once you do you will be sorted, They work perfect when setup properly it's just that people want a RTR these days and then get bored with it cus it's not very involving

hope it does make a comeback I love Nitro RC and those Motors are the force 18 nitro engines and it's not crap they're made by the OS Nitro company just be patient once you get it tuned ran in you'll be surprised
Anyway long story short I'm glad you're helping keep Nitro alive you and Stimpy seem to have a little bit of love for Nitro RC there is no possible way to drive a Nitro without having a giant smile on your face
Hello Kevin...I've recently bought this car because of your inspirations and fun and entertaining videos but I think you should try the £120 basher called the "ftx carnage 2.0" but I'm not sure if you have or haven't tried it yet but I believe it will be an extremely entertaining video if you took it to the skate park and potentially do a brushless conversion in the future...I currently use the included 1800nimh battery but I think you will find more of a use for it if you fitted it with a 5000nimh battery or better...I really hope you got to see this comment and I'm sure u have alot planned and have a lot more amazing content but this car would be a great car for beginners like me and as you say "It is dirt cheap" Thank you for potentially reading this and thank you for your time :)
