Thanks for this great review. Heard of it but was unsure given the size. This will be far better than trying fruitlessly to find an ophthalmoscope or otoscope in clinic that works!
Why do you use one of the Welch Allen ear pieces over the propriety piece? Are you able to just use the propriety piece and then clean it after each use? Is that hygienic? Thanks for your advice
@@eGPlearning I don't have one but thinking of getting one. Once adding a Welch Allen ear piece, is it stable over the propriety piece, and is the view good? Thank you
Slightly disappointed with this, which is close to being a really excellent product. The design has clearly been well thought out. Just purchased one after losing my rather expensive Welych Allen and after seeing your review. The ophthalmoscope features look pretty complete but this isn't something I typically use often in my practice. I'm disappointed with the otoscope features though. No focusing compared to my Welych Allen means it's nowhere near as good a diagnostic aid. I'm struggling to get a good in focus view of the TM without causing discomfort moving it in and out patient's ear canal. This may partly be due to using Welch Allen covers on top of the single provided cover as you recommend as this presumambly affects the focal length.
Sorry about your experience. I tested for a month and continue to use it now (about 1y) still prefer over my welch allyn for cost effective perspective. Quality may not be akin to my £400 welch allyn kit but it does 95% situations so works well for me.
