I must admit my subconscious envy of dear Dagan for his wonderfully contagious enthusiasm, sunny humorous personality and beautiful British accent. Let me not even get started on his born with oodles of musical talent abilities!! PMTVUK probably could not have found a better demonstrator than the Deftly capable Sir Dagan.
The Tubescreamer Mini is awesome. It’s every bit as good as the TS9. Other cheap pedals I like not mentioned in this video include the Boss DS-1 and BD-2, Mooer E-Lady, MXR M234 Analog Chorus and JHS 3 Series Delay and Reverb.
For me, Plumes by EQD is the best bang for the buck. New, its $99. It’s not a noisy pedal. I’ve used it with five different amps and it pairs well. It stacks well with flat EQ pedals. With high gain amps, it tames the low end frequencies when I turn down the gain & adjust the tone & level to taste.
The Fender Pugilist is a wonderful and versatile tone machine. It replaces the tones I used to get from their super-sonic 60w amp I used to own but regrettably sold because it was too load for my purposes.
I can recommend Blackstar LT-boost (blue), I've had it for 5 years now and it's been great. I bought it mainly as a boost for solos to pair with my 6505+ and it does it well. Sometimes when I use digitech drop, I use the boost always on for low tunings. And it makes clean tones sligtly crunched also well. The only con is maybe its resale value because it's not recognized as much. But that doesn't bother me, at least I don't have to be careful about it and can beat it (altough you should be careful because of other things, it's heavy af).
Seriously, a bag of good Canadian weed, a case of your favourite beer and I could sit all day and night and listen to you play and talk about guitar ...or anything for that matter. You rock Dagan!
The delay is probably not analog, but using a pt2399 chip just like most "analog" pedals. In order to get analog delay you need an amount of circuitry that could not fit inside that enclosure. Still sounds good.
Depends on affordable meaning, but, MXR Timmy (used for under 100), Keely Mini Katana Boost, Nobels ODR Mini OD, anf the Wampler Triumph and Phenom pedals.
Paused the video after seeing a little of the Trapeze Delay, then started searching for it for a few minutes, eventually finding it, coming back here and unpausing the video to hear him say, "...exlusive to PMT, by the way." Tgabks lol
Fantastic video. I love Gibson guitars I've bought 4 from pmt Cardiff in the last 5 years. But maybe try budget pedals with a more budget setup. I also own 2 blackstar amps.....pmsl😂😂😂😂
Tbh I bought a range of mooer mini pedals off Ali express for my niece and was blown away how good they are for the price. Thry’re like £20 each…. It’s nuts. When I was learning the cheap option was danelectro food pedals. They were my first so I loved them but they were cheap plastic and still cost more nearly 25 years ago.
