I like the watermelon combo lol. I used that green on my Ford escort hatchback in highschool, but did the hood, roof, and trunk in satin black. Fun times

I have watched many of your videos, and you have always stated that anyone with patience and a willingness to try can get a nice lasting finish. Not once have you ever implied that your painting is show-car quality. And many times (IMHO) your work has turned out to be superior to some of the body shop paint jobs I’ve seen where people have spent hundreds. Thanks for posting results so regularly, for your explanations on how to achieve good results, and for your devotion to our Savior. You can buy spray handles which holds the spray can and a trigger that makes it really easy to spray.

And it’s with this channel I learned how to properly rattle can a car. 🙏

I did my whole car with the 2 in 1 filler primer and gloss Advance Formula. Actually I did two coats of it in a lot of areas, as some areas I got runs/etc I needed to sand out, but other areas there were still so many pin type paint chips/etc. I'm super pleased how it came out, I might try cutting and buffing it with 2000-3000 grit, but I might not, as in all but very direct sunlight it looks fantastic. I also found 4 light coats was the best overall for results.

Your videos are great man. All of my cars have been used cars and most of the times the paint job was going bad or was bad. I could fix everything on the car but the paint. I don't have a lot of money so sending them to get painted was out of the question. Now thanks to you I drive nice looking cars in the color of my choosing. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

An even better way to get an outstanding finish is using paint stripper, sand with 40 or 80-120 grit then self etch prime, sand with 400,600,800 grit wet or dry then paint also be sure to clear coat! I spray painted my truck years ago and after about a year it started fading really bad...but be sure to buy flexible primer for all your plastics

Just a tip. Try feathering the clutch next time you launch it for better launch ;)

I seen the willow green on the g35 you did and I still can not believe how cool that paint color is! I literally would never believe how nice of a color that is without seeing it with my own eyes. Anyway, nice job again James as always you did a great job on this project!

Its your car so my opinion doesnt matter but still think it wouldve been better if the grill was chrome or black. Definitely needs a bit of contrast to make it look more hq. But you did great man regardless.

Nice job! A couple of grams of bondo won't make you any slower, it just makes sense to fix body damages before painting, but I see your point. Thanks for the video!

Hoods are and roof is so hard to get even with paint cans.

Im glad, after all the hard work of u prepping the car u managed to show us that it doesnt require to use a expensive spray gun to do an excellent job but by hands and spray cans. Amazing job👍

Hi, I painted my jetta mk4 hood with rustoleum pure white, and clear rustoleum high gloss. Im frustrated because it doesn't shine even before been polished.

I got the willow green a while back on clearance. Did my xbox controller not realizing it's the xbox color lol.

When you wash your car, are there things you shouldn't use to protect the paint? Can you still use a bristle brush or just take it to the nearest car wash without having to worry about paint? Also, can you wax over that?

Rattle cans are fine, I plan of fixing the passenger side of my 08 EX coupe. I got it as a salvage, and the paint they did is finally faded, and I'm getting some rust spots. I have the Rustoleum matching paint, just gotta wet sand, and mask but I'm sooo lazy lol.

D a the entire car, spray with high fill primer then block wet. A lot easier.

So i plan on doing my black truck gloss black, i dont want to sad it.. is buying 2 in 1 primer plant okay to use over factory paint

HOLY CRAP! Great work and effort man.

One thing I noticed now, trying again on another vehicle with no primer is that you end up actually using more paint and it never quite looks as good, as all the different areas have different surface porosity, and tend to suck up paints at different rates. I guess it would depend on the vehicle and layers of paint, this was going over a sanded down roller job (which is the dumbest thing on the planet to do) so there perhaps was a lot of paint behind it to suck up the gloss spray paint.

Great paint job. I have a question for you please...I've repainted the hood of my car a couple of times using rattle cans and no matter how hard I try to make sure I overlap each spray line I still get streaks/lines when it dries. Can you advise me on how to keep this from happening? I've used spray paint many times to paint smaller surfaces than a car hood with much success, however my hood gives me such a problem.

Your paints jobs are great. Question... I've always wondered... the thing on the back bumper of the orange car.., what does that do for the vehicle? The metal net looking like thing.

Question, how does this paint hold up in the sun? Dose it need a clear coat or am I good to go afterwards?

I painted the bumper on my civic & it did the same reaction thing, so I had to sand, prime & repaint it.

I think the newer Rustoleum paints wrinkle stuff a lot more. :/ :/ :/ I think it's because they're forced to use acetone and not other solvents because of VOC regulations, but acetone of course will strip paint, compared to say, mineral spirits.

Great job,This turned out amazing. Love that green over the red.i just think that it makes it unique as there are way to many red civivs out there. My only suggestion is. Why not keep the black rubber door trim black? I just think that it would make the car look much better then what it already is with anlittle contrast. Another question is. How long did the hole process take from start to finish? Again i want to give you all the props for your hard work. It looks amazing
