@@Adrenaleen11 Unplug everything, and try this sequence. Hook up and plug in the HDMI cable that came with your unit, then your wired controller (for your initial setup), then do "the paper clip reset" method Drew went over, then finally plug in the power cord. The first time it boots up, give it about 5-7 minutes to set up. After that, each bootup takes less than a minute.
Thanks for your response. I did everything you said but it still wouldn't work.. I replaced the dtb file with sm1_s995x3_4g.dtb and renamed it dtb.img. Is this part of the process?
Have the same issue. I was able to get the base Emuelec working with the T95 MAx+ with s905x3 and 4gb using the sm1_s905x3_4g.dtb but using this dtb with the Galisteo image it would just hang on the opening T95 logo. That said it was not on the Galisteo compatibility list. Anyone know how to get it working on the T95?
You got the most extensive knowledge on roms and related software I’ve seen on RU-vid, got any info on how to find or play Carnevil? It’s a light gun shooter game
The CPU of S905W can only go up to 1.2 GHz, it can't reach 2 GHz actually. You should buy an S905x3 box, it runs games much much better. And, EmuELEC is freeware, it can not be sold in any form.
Great Review as always thank you. Is it possible you can tell us how to Clone or Back up the Micro SD Please . Everybody always say back up the SD card because the manufacturer uses cheap MicroSd card. I tried doing this last 2 years ago and i messed up my MicroSD card just get corrupted by me for i dont know what i am doing i just drag the files. WIn32Disk Imager seems not working. Kinhank MicroSD has 2 partitions or drives. Can anybody please please tell me how to backup the microSD. Thank you in advance for your help guys.
@@drewtalks The Galisteo image is on a 128gb Ultra Plus Sandisk card. I burned the image from the dl using win32 disk mgr. The 1st time I tried booting from the card, I held the reset button in a little long and the TX3 went to reset booting options. This time, I let go of the reset pin a bit earlier and it boots to an EMUELEC screen then stops. Should I do a factory reset of the box without the card in, then do the reboot with the pin in briefly and the card in and/or should I re-download and re-imagine the card?
Donald S. if you still have the image file use 7zip to extract the rom folder. Then start fresh by downloading emuELEC and move the roms over. Another option is to download the file from Galisteo's torrent link (instead of Google link) and see if that works.
emuelec dont replace the android system.. you just put an sd card on the tvbox. its like having dual system.. so yes it doesnt matter the android version
Still freezing at EmuELEC screen. Tried resetting without success, then considered that my TX3mini 2G dtb file needed to be added to my microsd card to boot properly. I noticed that the dtb and old dtb files on the Galisteo image are "corrupt image files" so maybe placing the proper dtb image file on my sd card with the Gaslisteo image might work. I then copied the dtb file (p. 281Amlogic S905W 2G) for my device from the dtb directory from the dtb directory on the downloaded image file from Galisteo. I pasted this file to the root directory of my Galisteo-imaged card. This placing of the proper dtb file is explained in the github "Common Questions about EmuELEC". I even tried renaming the pasted dtb file to dtb.img. However, it's still frozen at EmuELEC boot screen. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I would try Standalone EmuElec, its 444meg to download, if that boot's with the right dtb, it will expand the card, then drop your own rom's or extract the rom's from Galiseto with DiskInternals Linux Reader, and WinScp the roms over
argg hate the shield for emulation. Tried dumping TB of stuff on an external HD with hyperspin but the system doesn't recognize the hard drive consistently for me. Sometimes it doesn't mount. So annoying. Then somehow corrupts the drive. I gave up on it.
