Welcome!
I’m finishing up a few chores on the property. Today I’ll be putting up deer fencing around several fruit trees that we purchased this year as well as a few we planted last year. The deer have taken great liberties with the trees from last year, nibbling away at the growing shoots which can easily interfere with the future harvest, so now is the time to protect those trees as well as the new ones. Nothing fancy, just 6’ metal stakes and fishing line. The supplies were relatively inexpensive and will be simple to install.
This method will be our first experience with deer fencing, and hopefully it will hold and prove effective. We’ll keep you updated. If you have any personal experience with deer fencing or fruit trees, let us know in the comments.
Thanks for watching!
As always, take care & God bless.
