Hey flair. My family raises our own meat chickens every year. Meat chickens are usually ready to be harvested around 8-10 weeks old. If they are I’ve for much longer then that then they will die from a heart attack or the heat because they will be to fat to move.

From my experience smaller gar taste worse and are way chewier. The bigger the gar the better. The bigger gar are softer meat and taste so much better. Love the content keep it up.

You need to get a two or three pronged tip for your arrow! Helps you stick in and stay in the fish. They can pull out the 1 barb really easy compared to the 2 or 3

Sup Andrew. If it works eat it. I brush fish with Texas Pete hot sauce, dredge in zatarains fish Fri and, fry lol. Have to check Amazon for zatarains fish fri, get 2 1gallon containers for about $16. 1 little bag in stores are about $4-5. Then I just mix mayo and relish for quick tartar. Sauce.

I have fried plenty of gar and it has never been bad tasting. You have to get the big ones and cut out all of the red meat. Gar is one of my favorite fish.

Flair your quail cage is too close to your egg laying chicken enclosure. Raccoons will climb onto the quail cage, jump into the enclosure and ko your eggs.

My favorite fish to eat is gar. When I caught my first gar we soaked the meat in water and salt and cut them up into pieces like chicken tenders and fried them and it tasted just like chicken tenders

Do you ever try putting your fish in salt water or milk Let it soak for a couple hours to overnight and then cook them how you normally would and see how that does with a real fishy fishy taste fish

I believe those tractor supply chicks you have are called ISA Browns. They are very good egg laying chickens and will definitely lay a butt ton of eggs by the time they are 10 months to a year old.

I almost got an arrow to my head. . I was on the side of a highway at least in case something happened well I had a bear bow that I was gonna use for hunting but turned it into a carp bow. I put a spool on it I shot about 40 of them in 3hours. It was a flooded woods connected to the Minnesota river. Well I went to shoot and my line went out 5 feet and came back at me just missing my left ear. I herd it go by and I'm deaf in my left ear to that s the scariest thing that ever happened. I was bout to quit after that but kept going but I was checking my spool every time after that make sure it wasn't caught on anything.

Flair use sardines or anchovies in oil for racoon dog proof bait. Put 1 or 2 inside and one across the top. Then drizzle the oil on and around. I hammer raccoons with this method.

You under cooked it will I bet gar is not like normal fish u have to cook it longer and never put whole fillet in there cut it up in chunks I have fried gar for years and the Only time it’s ever fishy is when it’s under cooked it has always taste like Alligator tail
