Americans are so deprived in the bacon department that they don't even recognize real bacon when they see it! The bacon they sell in the USA is what we from the UK call fat!
Polo bar...I had an average hot dog and a burrito for 15€. That thing in Greece costs 4 times less with real fresh ingredients and with an actual taste and flavor. Shit gets hyped abroad for no reason...
They only sell streaky bacon in the USA believe it or not. The meat companies don't want Americans to know about European bacon as they just want to sell you fat!
The thing most visitors don't get about a fry up is that you've got to mix things up on the fork. Don't just eat the beans, use them as a topping on a chunk of sausage and egg, mixing and matching is where you enter breakfast heaven!
Rowenna It’s closer to Canadian bacon than anything else. I actually prefer English and Canadian bacon to traditional American bacon. I don’t feel like I’m going to die of a clogged artery when eating Canadian/English bacon 😂💀
European bacon is not from the same cuts of meat as American bacon which is pork belly slices ,English/European bacon is back meat totally different cuts from different parts of the animal .look it up it's kinda like comparing pancetta and prosciutto!
Well that all youtuber these day's. They're used to it, Because it is used most at night. Especially james stradman, He literally love jerking it on video
Back in the early 1990's in Central London (somewhere, cant remember!) there was a small cafe chain that done 1 set breakfast with tea or coffee. You could not change the breakfast or choose what you want. The queue was out the door and the cafe was mainly for builders/contractors. You sat down and the food appeared instantly, literally. And the second you finished, you were asked to leave, that was the deal and every one knew it and no one minded. In, eat, out. Great breakfast and cheap.
Pollo bar is most tasty !! And black pudding is no diff than salami... that’s cured blood. At least back pudding is cooked !! Grilled ham... that be bacon
Before beginning, I must ask, have you even been to the States? I have many times because I lived in Windsor, opposite Detroit, and St. Catharines which is close to Niagara, new York, and have travelled extensively throughout the U.S.A. In the U.S.A. they have a bacon similar to streaky bacon, and we have the same in Canada. English bacon, as you say, is not similar to gammon, which is closer to ham in style and curing but comes from a different part of the animal. A common bacon in England, other than streaky, is back bacon. People in the U.S.A. prefer their "streaky" - they do not call it that - bacon crispy. . They also have what they call Canadian bacon, which is Pork Loin that is salted, cured, and smoked and covered in peameal. In Canada, it is simply known as back bacon/Canadian bacon and can be known as peameal bacon 'nuf sed. plamuk aka travellingchef
Sorry, but salami is not made from blood as you state but from beef, pig meat, can be venison, chicken or other meats. Always check before putting fingers to keyboard or foot in mouth. The meat is stuffed into a casing and allowed to dry while hanging. To prevent the cintents from becoming mouldy, the casing is usually punctured during the drying to allow any trapped pockets of air to escaape and for the meat to reduce in size which leads to a concentration of the flavouring from the added spices and or herbs.
@@nick260682 I for one like a Morrisons breakfast, great value and good for what you pay. If you want great quality food go to Bills and pay £12 for half the portions which for me is embarrassing
Ollied It’s clearly not the whole point. It’s half the point at best. English food can be amazing, but it’s people like you that ruin it by recommending shithole places like Wetherspoons, and valuing big portions over quality.
It is bacon, not ham. In the US you only have streaky bacon. What you are eating is called back bacon. Come to the North of Ireland and have an Ulster fry, We have potato and soda farms, You can't get it in England. Also we have white pudding too, ( its oatmeal and spiced, it's great ). Also we dont serve beans with an Ulster fry, Come to Belfast and have an Ulster fry please. Remember, it's bacon. 🤗 and you need H.P sauce on any fry up.
To be technically correct ,England uses the exact same cut as America, but England/UK/Britain/Ireland etc also have other cuts too. We have streaky. (the 'american' belly cut) back bacon (the 'chop' cut in the video he called ham) we also have middle bacon which is both of those cuts still joined together, and even rarer (and better) than all these is Collar bacon, a Big cut from the neck which has a deep flavour.
I remember having my first English breakfast when I was first living there. I too was a bit thrown off with the beans in the morning, but I now love them with toast & this is a hearty meal you can have anytime of day or night.
it not that big of a fan of "English" breakfast LOL DUDE -RESEARCH????? WE ALSO HAVE BREAKFAST IN SCOTLAND.... LIKE....... AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO TALK HEALTHY.....LIKE...... THE U.S. HAVE THE WORST STATS FOR EM..... HEART FAILURE....YOUR BORING ME MAN........
Most annoying things is calling bacon ham.... Bacon goes through a whole process before becoming bacon. Grilled ham is a different product. Sorry not normally a hater... but it is Bacon.
That's not ham, that's English Bacon. TOTALLY DIFFERENT. English Bacon is cut from the loin back of the pig, similar to that of Canadian but with the added fat surrounding the meat. English bacon is often smoked or cured, again similar to that of Canadian, but to a greater extent. Bacon in the UK also comes in a form similar to American, but is actually referred to as “streaky bacon” and is less common.
At least no one I read commented on how he didn't spell 'favorite' correctly!...I will spell it with a u if y'all like!..it's amazing that people act like they don't understand the meaning of a word if it either lacks a 'u' or adds a 'u'...when commenting on British posts..I add a 'u'...or use an 's' instead of a z...saves much time..!!
The First meal, First of all if you are in the U.K try Hogs Pudding (Also known as White Pudding) Like Black Pudding (Also known as Blood Pudding) but without the blood? Most places give you 2 of each in a Traditional Full English Breakfast.
