In today's video we are going to make a review of a very interesting tarp tent solution from Onewind Outdoors company - an Ultralight Survival Shelter for Stealth Camping. We personally have never used nor tested such tarp tents before and always preffered to go for a conventional dome free-standing tents. But the weight and budget price is what attracts us the most in it - it costs only 39 dollars and weighs 465g in total with all the accessories. So we want to test it out in the field, looking at its features and all the set up possibilities. It claims to be a versatile reliable shelter suitable for many situations. If you are curious to find out more details about this product - stay tuned for it!

We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.
We speak English, Spanish, French and Russian, so don't hesitate to address to us in your native language.

Great video guys! I wish you had some more angles when showcasing the different heights as it is really hard to tell how much extra cover you get by lowering the tarp. Anyway. I wish I was cool enough to stay relaxed under a tarp when sleeping. Unfortunately, the bug/mosquito situation would be an absolute nightmare here in Sweden 😅 In the end, I think your video started a thought process within me of how to reduce my setup even more. Even though a tent is more comfortable. The weight reduction definitely has a lot of benefit making it an enticing option. I Just need to learn how to deal with the mosquitos. :)

You can hang a mosquito net on this - either the one they sell which is made to go with the product, or another brand. I use the 'sea to summit' net. Hope that helps.

Thank you, friend! That's a good remark on doing more angles, would do that next time around. When lowering the tarp you do get some kind of a ceiling on an angle that should protect you from a small rain. For us it is similar, we are not used to it at all but the weight is definetely very attractive. Mosquitoes can be a nightmare and the bug net seems to be absolutely necessary. It weighs 350g and costs additional 25$. So the total weight would be around 810g.

Very sturdy and useful for the price. The blackout tent (not for ultralight use) does keep the temperatures lower inside. (I live in the desert.)

It is our pleasure! This is one of the great features of the shelter, and we used everything that it had in the kit, at first we weren't sure what they were meant for:) Let us know if you have any other specific questions

Thanks for the review, great video (and please ignore the poster who thinks the two of you should personally go to war against an army, and do nothing else in your life - trolls will troll).
