Note: Probably not the cheapest, or rustiest, but pretty dang bad regardless. Will a cheap ebay bead breaker separate old, dried tractor tire from equally old rusty rim?
Lubricate the bead all the way around the rim with soapy water prior to putting your tool on. As soon as you have a small gap pour more soapy water in and let it set just a minute or two. You will be surprised how much easier it breaks loose.
I tried one of those on a chloride rusted out rim and old tire and bent the feet up bad. Maybe should have tried to drive it in further before tightening but it didn't want to go in much. Ended up using a skid steer bucket to pop it off. I've seen a guy use a ramp and just drive a heavy tractor up on the ramp to push down on the bead also. If you have a spare tractor or skid steer, seems to be an easier route.
Back in the 80's Dad figured out to easily break a tractor tire loose. Park two tractors next to each other about 2 1/2 feet apart with the rim of one lined up the the flat tire of the other. Then he took the hydraulic cylinder and put one end against the steel rim of one tractor and the ram end of the cylinder again the flat tire. Then he hit the hydraulic lever forward and the ram of the cylinder pushed the flat tire off the rim of he other tractor in about 2 seconds. Was super easy.
Lube the point of entry, simple soap and water in a spray bottle, and you wont need to strike the tool with a hammer. Increase your hand torque power by losing the ratchet extension
Yes I agree with you Vidss sometimes a little lube at point of entry is a must this being one of them. However some items I have in mind come prelude which is always very convenient for a quick In-N-Out swap
Breaking my heart because that tyre looks good, and all that tread ! But understand the wheel is knackered. I've seen that breaker advertised and thought it looked like it was made of cheese. I had a very robust breaker and destroyed it over time
I have a bead breaker like yours it works good i found it worked easier when i poured a little gas around the bead just took a pork an bean can of gas an poured slowly on bead on top of tire an let it run down around bead it softens the old dry hard rubber also i have cut rotted tires off before i used a sabre saw went around sidewall about 3 in from bead on both sides then tire came off an then bead part came off easy with gas on it an big screw driver an tire iron hope this tip helps i enjoyed your video
Toss em in the fire pit and recover the rims after clean um up mount new tires off you go .little warpage never stopped a farmer from getting some ..looking good
Let's not get caught up in fantasy land with your sensational Title ~ you can be assured that someone will have a cheaper one and someone will have a rustier one, put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!
With all that money you saved by buying the inexpensive bead buster you could buy a new hat and not look so poor. Also watching you use hand tools made me feel sorry for you . Get a battery impact wrench.
