More honest food reviews like this are needed. Thanks for sharing & adding videos & your truth! More secret videos of the kitchens & behind the scenes also.
Common sense tells you to *NEVER* get anything that you don't know to be in popular demand at a restaurant. What doesn't move on a regular basis can be stuck in the fridge for a year or more until it gains language skills and actually asks to be let out.
IHOP is not consistent in quality for every store. Food/service quality does largely depend on which one you go to. The one next to our local mall is deservedly popular, while the one near the highway is deservedly shunned.
I decided to take my daughter to an IHOP in Tulsa Oklahoma. It was around Christmas time. First stop , breakfast. From there we were on our way to the big mall. She deserved a mommy day and it was fun. The clouds, the cold, all the Christmas cheer. Any way the breakfast prices at IHOP were inflated and unbelievably high. I was on a budget. Shit! A small glass of orange juice was $3.50!!!!! We paid and walked out without leaving a tip. At the time I felt bad. Like I’d robbed this hard working waitress. I just didn’t have enough. I couldn’t believe it. We should have gone to Denny’s!
I used to love IHOP back in the day I used to love their breakfast date toaster toodles it was so delicious and a strawberry cheesecake now is just nasty and microwave football food before when I complain about the food not being cooked right and when the waitress argue with me and the chef said every dishes made the same because it's microwaveable everything is packed I was disgusting all these years I thought they was literally in the back cooking the food
@@blockchainballers mf I never said anything related to school ?? I just told someone that some people prefer to talk a certain way, and neither you nor me know the OPs education level. I'd like to add that that's a stupid thing to assume anyway? If they never went to school why would they be able to spell and express perfectly fine except for "you were"
The problem with these big food chains is that the food is very dependent on what location you go to. Some places will be amazing while others are a crime against tastebuds
Steaks at most breakfast franchise chains are just like parsley garnish. It's not meant to be anything other than a decorative piece, except for the menu instead of your plate.
america is so big that even with ihop only existing in the states it can still be in the top 10 with most locations of any "breakfast restaurant" in the world
@dannytv12 idk, the pancake do hit.. and especially if you stoned!.. wealthy people ALWAYS try to save them money.. that's how they stay wealthy.. They don't live by the modo of: " just cuz I got it, I'm gonna spend".. that's how young or immature people think.. .. but hey, what do I know?
EXACTLY! : Point made! Hero moment! I can only say on a positive note that the food is on a Teens allowance lol. Everybody can afford it and no one cares to get on TV wasting airtime for it.
Yes, was about to comment this. The IHOP in my city is super popular, the one in the city over was just a hot dumpster fire. They're closed now, but that was an embarrassment
But but, my little sister ordered pizza from McDonald's and they created one for her. It was like the Krusty Krab pizza. Anything is possible with my blessed McDonald's, mwah
yeah dude apparently i live next to the worlds best burger king lol when i lived in ft worth they were stone cold burgers. the only chain that has been consistently good no matter location has been mcdonalds. maybe poorer service but food usually at a higher standard. anyways always thank Jesus for the food God bless
@@kommisar. but unfortunately the quality of his food varies from one location to another because one can serve you the best meal you ever had and other can serve you a meal that taste like it is been in a freezer since 2017
@@josem588 Again, it shouldn't be, because these are franchised restaurants, meaning they are run independently but have to adhere to the exact same recipes and standards.
I always round up, 7 dollars would be nice although there are 58 cents plus tax extra I'd need to have in my pocket to claim it's 7$! To me 7.58 is already 8$ or even $10. So if I went there I'd make sure I have at least $20 in case. I always make sure to round up as a rule.
Well you could make like 50 pancakes off one box where u just add water and it will be cheaper obviously u could eat pancakes for a month for 8$ but people go out to eat to avoid cooking or shopping. U want a grown man to make them for u which costs money and the business owner gotta cover his overhead and make profit. The mix is cheap but labor electric rent all add up plus the franchise fees etc
There are multiple entrees that are cheaper. For some reason he doesn't put in 5 minutes of effort to look up the prices himself before going in, nor does he put in 5 minutes to just check out the menu when he is there.
@@baurochs2283 Never been to a Waffle House as there's none here to my knowledge, but from what I've seen online the atmosphere always looks top notch.
This restaurant as well as other USA joints could be delicious if it did everything from a rustic french/european/Gordan Ramsey style cooking approach.
And also 50 less chemicals ! No seed oils, no "enriched flour" aka fake flour. Making them at home is just overall the best option for both health and wallet
Don’t know about the drunk part, but I can definitely confirm that IHOP at 2am is fantastic. Especially after having been in a car for the past 20 hours
When I was a little girl, growing up in an immigrant family, my dad took us to ihop once cause we saw them on the commercials a lot but little did he know how expensive it was for his salary. He got us a few plates of measly pancakes that we all shared and didn’t order anything for himself. The pancakes were not memorable at all but the fact that my dad went hungry was quite pitiful and the most troubling memory I have of ihop
Your dad cared about you more than about himself, I wish I had dad like that. Now that you are grown and hopefully have no financial struggles you can order him some steak.
Yeah, I'm getting kind of fed up (no pun) at least in this one he described a little about what was good and bad, a lot of ties he just says its good or bac. I don't care what he things, I want to know if I'll like it. For example "I thought the pizza was gross because it had too much sauce and garlic" helps me because I love lots of sauce and garlic. First rule of being a critic is you give the listener a sample and let them decide whether or not they like it.
I think the strange smell is bleach. One time, my husband and I decided to leave our babies with a babysitter and have a late dinner at IHOP. As we were eating, a waiter poured bleach concentrate on the floor and started mopping in our booth section. The fumes were AWFUL. We had to pack up and leave. Ever since then, i have noticed every IHOP smells of dried bleach and pancake batter.
Just because a restaurant serves pancakes doesn't mean it's automatically good. Unless you're willing to say that 100% of restaurants that serves pancakes are good.
They call them International House Of Pancakes for a reason. Pancakes are their specialty, they always have been. Their other foods are pretty questionable to say the least (Though their omelettes are insanely good👍🏾)
Yea like this isint just Pancakes this is the InternationalHouseOfPancakes I've always said you cannot say you've had Pancakes until you go to Pancake Country IHOP
Old school breakfast steak. It's not meant to be a typical steak. Its intended to be broken down and combined with the other items on the plate, especially an over easy yolk. You cannot reasonably serve thick steaks at the same speed you serve eggs, so a short order breakfast joint like IHOP uses these old school steaks.
Dude it was burnt, freezer burnt, unseasoned. The only way it's "old school", is that it's literally an OLD steak. I used to own a breakfast truck. I made breakfast professionally for years. Steak and eggs does not have to look like that. You're literally just making excuses for absolute garbage.
@@Jimmymatthewb it clearly wasn't burn. That obvious on its face, fuck it barely has any maillard at all. It is also obviously not freezer burnt as the fat cap on the visible edge is still fresh and clear, not the chalky dried white of freezer burn. Unseasoned is possible, but unlikely as even the flat top grills in breakfast joints are seasoned, it has 100% been salted. Why do people like you insist on stating obvious falsehoods as if they were fact?
Everyone knows what a breakfast steak is. That's not a breakfast steak, it's roadkill. Sure, they should be thin, but not thinner than the dish they're on. Stop licking IHOP's boots.
@@johnh3611 no one's licking any boots here dipshit. No one is even saying that breakfast steaks are good. Did I say they're wonderful or anything remotely like that? Nope sure as shit didn't. But for some reason you think I'm licking boots. Seek serious professional mental health assistance.
Restaurants like IHOP used to be good, but they all put profit over quality. Now, pancakes are the only thing they can make. Everything else is garbage. Oh, and all that grey goop and the "bottom" was cooked blood. He browned one side of the steak fine, but overcooked the burnt side. That was one of the most pathetic steaks I've seen. Steak, like diamonds, is one the greatest scams. Beef isn't scarce nor should be expensive. All greed. Also, "expensive" doesn't mean quality.
i’m mainly confused on why you asked the waitress what the cheapest and most expensive items were when you literally had a menu sitting right in front of you😂😂
Dude you got one od the old restaurants where you could see into the kitchen!! Definitely ask for the pecan syrup next time...its absolutely incredible!!!!
Come on, is not about how it looks, is how is taste, this rich people 😂😂😂, now i know why Ramsey from Hell kitchen sells those fancy food that taste like $#1+ 🤮🤮🤮🤣🤣🤣🤣
ong if somebody asked me what the cheapest thing on the menu is I would ask them to find it themselves, got me fucked up thinking I memorized the menu prices
i’ve been to that ihop on a late night for my brothers birthday, the lady there was so sweet she was the only one working that night with at least four tables open, as we were leaving my brother helped her with dishes at our table taking things to the back i gave her a hug and told her thank you for dealing with so much that night i had cried in the bathroom for some time and was grateful for people like her.
I worked at an IHOP for 5 years a long time ago and that is not how our steaks look and our pancakes are not 7.59 they were around 5 bucks but that was a few years ago and in Texas so it could be different somewhere else. And sometimes these kind of restaurants have a smell from the carpet spilt food and drinks like coffee can't get cleaned up right away properly they get mildew and sour smelling they have to wait for a carpet shampoo company to come in and clean it but with a place like IHOP that is 24 hours and is even open on Christmas doesn't have a good time to schedule such deep cleaning they really should have flooring not carpet but carpet helps keep slip accidents down and absorbs noises
That steak looks hard and scary. Af. I also cannot stand the smell in ihop 😷 They don't all smell bad, but the last one I went to smelled like dirty mop water which made it very hard to eat.
