Cheapest Ebike.. Is it good?- Jetson Bolt Pro Costco Review 2022

You are the best reviewer of this bike. I have three of them. Your review mentioned all of the benefits of this bike without belly aching of the things it "can't do". Too many people focus on their expectations that it should perform like a $1000 Ebike. This is the perfect bike that actually goes in your car back seat, and you can carry it onto trains, and into any store and no one every complains. By the way, to use the cruise control, it is extremely simple. You need to go to the speed that you want, (while you pedal also). Then press the right side button for only one second, a TAP, and the cruise it on.

For cruise control you keep hold on the throttle then click the button once then let go of throttle

Good review. Because its so cheap, people mod them. I've seen bigger batteries, reprogram to go 20 mph, front shocks, etc. Plenty of youtube vids and there's are a couple of Facebook groups. This is a very good intro into Ebikes in general, I got myself a bigger ebike as a result. All the $$$ saved, you can upgrade your bike and it still costs cheaper than non-modded ebikes.

As a 6'3" dude on a similar ebike I can confirm these things are super fun and you feel sick on them hitting corners at top speed. Having ridden on a bigger 1500-2000 dollar bike that could do 50kmh easily, this is just as much fun, although you lose a bit of comfort and speed, you gain some fun points back from the bike being so light and twitchy. Won't be stopping me from finishing my 72v mountain bike (goal is 90-100kmh which this motor/controller combo was hitting before on a much heavier frame) as it just doesn't quite scratch the speed itch that I've been feeling since going to college and having to leave behind my parents cars 🥲 but it has been a great stand in since my last bike was stolen and has been getting me to my job all month with no issues👍

I live in the middle of nowhere in Arizona, in the far north. Nobody cares what people ride, or their car, or their clothes look like. I'm over 65, put 700 miles on my ebike in about a year. Next ebike will probably be at my bike shop, Lectric, or Costco. The closest Costco is probably 100 miles each way. I guess Californians have to have nice clothes and nice cars. Most of us are poor working people like me, and elderly. I drive a 20 year old Ford Ranger. 😮

It’s okay as a e-scooter, terrible as a bike. You will need to get a longer seat post, and a better handle bar. Get a couple of external batteries for longer range. I get around 10-15 km (6-10 mile) on throttle only, which is good enough to take me to the train station and back. Cruise control is activated by pressing the button below the throttle while at max speed.

In order to turn the headlight on, hold the right button down for 5 seconds, and the light will come on! In order to turn the headlight off, hold the right button down for another 5 seconds, and it will turn the light off! In order to use cruise control, crank the throttle to the speed you want to go, then quickly push the right button for 1 second or so, and it’ll hold it in cruise control speed, at the throttle speed that you are currently at! In order to disengage the cruise control, push the right button again for 1 second, hit the brakes, or crank the throttle, and any of these 3 actions, will immediately, release/disengage the cruise control, and take you back to throttle only or pedal-assist! BTW: there is a manual that comes with the bike to explain how to use all of this, I don’t understand why people never read their manuals, that is what it is, therefore! Always read your manuals! You’re right about scooters riding faster at night. The sun hits the battery during the day and stresses it. Especially if you live in the desert. They operate better in cold weather

We love ours, despite recently upgrading. We have had amazing family outings, each of us with a kid on the bike. So fun. It’s kind of odd how people limit themselves. This isn my free but it’s damn cheap for what you get - especially if you catch a sale.

I considered this, but went with a VoltBike Mariner instead. It was more expensive, but this thing looks like a toy in comparison.

its costco, you can probably return them in 5 years.

20 inch wheel is too small and no suspension. Battery is low quality and won't last. We had one for a year and battery died.

I got it remanufactured for 291$
